The apartment was in a second floor with an elevator available. Very nice and with an excellent view of Porto neighborhood. Location, excellent and very close to Clerigos. Maya, the young woman who receive us was an excellent hostess. Thanks Maya!!! If by any chance I come back (and I would love to do that), it will be in this apartment.

The apartment is nice and clean. We would rate it as excellent had the a/c worked well. The a/c was not working, there was a movable machine which is not enough for a big room. Alll the rest is very good

Loved the location and walkability. No instructions for use of expresso machine (which made a very loud noise) or the heating system. No shelves in the bathroom. Bathroom matt was tissue thin. Initial communication good but completely fell apart upon KNOWN late arrival. Thankful the Uber druver helped us.

Pros: Very pretty tiled and spacious balcony; area quiet during week, see cons below; easy access to a good variety of restaurants and just around the corner from an excellent pastel de nata bakery called Mantegaria; near metro station and the Avenida dos Aliados central district; next to the beautiful Torre de Clerigos and church; very walkable area; clean and functional apartment; elevator to apts BUT see cons below. Maya (manager) was great. Cons: quite a few stairs to get to the elevator- this should be noted; noisy bar nearby on Friday night; as noted in other reviews, the bed was hard, could feel springs, was like sleeping on a box spring rather than a mattress; throw rugs on floor could be a tripping hazard.

Friendly staff, fab location, easy access. Flat was very roomy, big bad and plenty of space. The Kitchen was also big and good for preparing basic meals, if needed (oven based). The bathroom was a bit small, but reasonable, the only let down was a lack of counter space to put products in, but there was a chair there which we used to put or stuff on instead. The guests on the floor above us were a bit loud, but that stopped at midnight on the weekend. We couldn't hear the people outside, even though there were restuarants and clubs nearby. The wi-fi was a bit slow, but it's sufficient for casual browsing. Be mindful that there's a short flight of stairs right as you enter the building. All in all, we had a good time in the flat and are happy with our stay!

Good price performance ratio

The apartment has a good price-performance ratio. It is quite big, has a kitchen and you get a free water and tea one time per stay. Other bottles can be bought for a low price. We stayed in two apartments at different times. In one apartment everything was more narrow in the bathroom than in the other and the air condition was not working (two fans as a replacement, we used one fan and the vapor extraction the get cold air from outside into the apartment and it worked quite well, but this was only possible because we had an extension cable with us), in the other there was more room in the bathroom and a working air condition. In both apartments there was a little noise outside from a fan or something. Be prepared for that. Don't expect a 5-star-hotel for the price but you get a good room for the price.

Don’t stay here!

First, the stuff we liked. It’s a great location, the room is spacious, and we liked having a balcony. Now, the stuff we didn’t like. The bed was so hard I ended up curling myself into the love seat to sleep. On top of that, the area was extremely noisy between midnight and 7am. There’s a gentleman’s club a few doors down and you could hear the music somewhat. It must be the patrons coming out of there who are yelling and making noise in the street at all hours. Also, every morning around 5:30 it looks like a bunch of people gather to wait and get picked up for work and their talking just echoes. I ended up downloading a white noise app to help us sleep. It was the worst sleep experience I’ve ever had and we travel extensively. Also, their staircase was not lit all the way so I had to use the flashlight on my phone. Lastly, I had to contact the property myself to get check in instructions before we arrived. The number listed was in Lisbon and they gave me the number to the Porto location. For whatever reason, I could not get through. I’m not sure if that had to do with me calling from the states. I had the same issue when we arrived but fortunately there was a local who used their phone and called for me. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Clean, functional and finished to a high standard. No iron or ironing board but iron was sourced for me within a few hours. Great location, though street can get noisy in the evenings/early mornings. I would stay again.

I like the fact that it was an apartment and was roomy. Being Canadian we are used to having a bottom sheet and a top sheet. I was too hot and would have preferred to also have a top sheet. When the people came into the unit above us, we could hear the chairs on the floor and the closet door sliding back and forth for hours. They're always seem to be some sort of noise from upstairs. Even though they weren't noisy you just could hear everything.
