The hotel is right in the center and within a few minutes of everything. One minute walk from the train station. The room was clean like new. Great staff.

Perfect location on a pedestrian only street so the room was lovely and quiet. We stayed in a cosy room which was nicely designed and reasonable value. The only negative re the room, was the view. The window faces onto a wall about a metre away. The wall is covered by plastic greenery with light coming from the top only. It almost felt like a skylight and so we needed to have the room light on most of the time. The reception staff and cleaning staff were very good. The small gym and pool were a nice extra. It has a nice bar. Overall a good stay. The only other negative was the breakfast times. Tours to the Douro Valley generally start at 8 but breakfast is only available from 7:30 onwards. We came to the breakfast room at 7:23 and the food was fully laid out. We asked if we could grab something 7 minutes early but the lady in the downstairs room flatly refused. I think she could have handled it much better and been a little more accommodating. It is something to consider if you are booking the breakfast option but planning to do tours with an early start time. Despite this we did enjoy our stay.

The hotel was exceptional! Excellent location, clean & updated rooms with comfortable accommodations. The amenities, such as the pool and sauna, were a nice bonus. Rita the concierge was an excellent hostess as was the entire staff! The location cannot be beat. I will absolutely return to Porto and this hotel. 5++ stars!

Great location, most tourists places within a 10 minute walk in all directions. Disappointed with the breakfast room, very small and not enough tables when busy. On the first day the breakfast was also available on a 2nd floor however this was then closed for the remaining part of our stay meaning we had to wait for a table to become free, member of staff said this was normal when it was busy but doesn’t really help when you want breakfast. Room check in is 3pm, on arrival we were told they would send a message when the room was ready however we didn’t receive a message.

Location is the best. In the center right close to San bento station. Palácio da Bolsa, the interiors are superb. There is a very nice coffee shop nearby Picota-Café São Nicolau that has local food wc * Ribeira district: Colorful buildings stacked on Douro River. * Livraria Lello: Neo-Gothic bookstore inspiration for Harry Potter. * Clérigos Tower, São Bento Station (iconic tile murals). * Dom Luís I Bridge: Gustave Eiffel-style structure with epic views. Se do Porto is beautiful, walk to the top has the best view of the city. For sunset, cross the bridge to Jardim do morro for view. For food: Timeout rui Paula for octopus, fish michelin 2 star at timeout market is ok, the first 2 restaurant seems better with rice dish. Castro for best nada Castro - Atelier de Pasteis de Nata Both Porto restaurants need reservation: Adega Bebe Se Mal grilled shrimp, seafood rice, green peppers not spicy at all, octopus Ostras & Coisas has the best fresh seafood, big prawns very good, grilled seabass shellfish All great shops nearby. Perfect stay. Staff is super friend and complimentary tea and cookies are great.

Truly incredibly service at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Porto! We had an amazing time and were treated so kindly by the staff of the hotel. They even surprised us on our birthday! The hotel is clean, quiet and super convenient. Also loved the pool and sauna, it's super relaxing and fun after a long day in the city. Once again, a one of a kind experience with the best service we have ever experienced at a hotel. We hope to visit some of their other historic hotels in Portugal. Highly recommended!

The room is well situated. The staff is most professional and helpful. Enjoyed our stay. The only issue... room temperature. It was too hot. They tried to reverse system to restart air conditioning. That seemed to have failed. Woke up 2nd night in a sweat. It was very uncomfortable. That is too bad... everything else was so perfect!
