"Lovely cottage however when there for work you need two things. Hot water and a bed. Bed were comfy but hot water was absent. Out of 24 showers across 4 adults and 6 days only 3 ran hot. Second bedroom vibrates and is super loud whenever water is running anywhere in the house too. Disappointed as we called the owners and they assured us a maintenance person would come and check and fix this issue, meaning one of us took a day off work to wait for the person. Who never came. "Overall, this hotel was great and perfect for the kids. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were great with very friendly staff. Pool was ideal for our needs. The only slight issue was that the villa room did get quite hot for our taste, even with the patio door open, but wasn’t a major issue. We will be booking again in the future!"

"The hotel was dirty and there was nobody at the front desk. You had to call a number and wait for someone to come. The room was adequate, but smelled like a wet dog. The window was open in the room when I walked in and it had condensation on it. There were only a few parking spaces in the front, which were already reserved for other guests. "

"Wonderful place to stay in Penzance. Charming older hotel with exceptional staff. Greetings from reception, attentive & pleasant dining room personnel, Lovely gathering place for ladies, artisans, locals & visitors. Superb location by promenade, gardens, galleries, bike path & town proper. I’ll always return there, the Queen’s Hotel has my name on it:)"

"I've given this a five star review because although the rooms are fairly basic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is brilliant. You're a 5 minute walk from the beach and there's a bus route right outside the hotel that can take you direct to Penzance, Marazion and St Ives (and I'm sure elsewhere, but that's all we managed). It's also incredibly good value for money. So don't expect the Ritz but for what you pay this is a really great place to stay."

"I recently stayed at this hotel in St Ives and had a very disappointing experience. The room I was given did not match what was shown in the booking photos at all. It felt misleading and not worth the money. Cleanliness was a major issue — the room was not properly cleaned, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Basic services were also missing, and when I raised these concerns with the staff, there was little to no response or effort to resolve the situation. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and mismatch between the advertised and actual room made this a very negative experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others and strongly suggest future guests be cautious before booking."
