It was great. Elisabeth was very helpful and let us check in early as we arrived early in the day. The location was great - it was just off from the Piazza and was close to lots of restaurants, bars and a taxi rank. I would stay again - the aircon was also a blessing!

Large comfortable and beautifully furnished suite in the roof space of a 19th century block in the centre of Trieste. Excellent location, helpful and knowledgeable manager. Quiet retreat from the city, unique ambience.

We had a good stay here. Very helpful reception staff. Room was nice and comfortable and in a quiet top floor corner setting, only slightly marred for tranquillity by a loud minibar that we had difficulty turning off (eventually found the right switch in the middle of the night). Breakfast excellent. Very well located for Trieste transport, restaurants and sights.

Excellent location as very central but very quiet. Room was comfortable and cool despite the extreme heat outside, good breakfast and very helpful staff on Reception. Housekeeping seem to do an amazing job as everywhere looked very well cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A stylish and characterful hotel in a 19th century building, which was previously flats - one of which (on the 3rd floor) was the home of the famous writer James Joyce. The hotel celebrates its literary heritage, with a selection of books in each room, and also a comfortable and tastefully furnished reading room. Fantastic hotel

This is a really lovely hotel. Full of character and history, but well refurbished. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, all of them. Our room, which was clean and comfortable, overlooked the inner courtyard and when we requested one with better light they saw to it quickly and efficiently. The first room had a walk-in shower, the second a bath (with jacuzzi) and hand-held shower, but the pay-off was two French windows and balcony. The hotel is centrally located close to all sights by foot. The room was comfortable and modern, the bathroom well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The hotel was everything that you would want, but in particular the staff were welcoming and friendly, including reception and in particular the breakfast team. I would definitely stay here again.

Good choice of breakfast . Very clean throughout the hotel . Room top up of clean towels etc was excellent. Wonderful private beach with a lovely bar . The only gripe is being charged 20 euros for a bottle of water in the restaurant

Clean, modern and helpful. Comfortable bed too! In close proximity to a couple of nice restaurants on the water’s edge. Delightful setting for an evening meal.

This was excellent I always worry about these online check-ins but the key code was simple Remember to look in both boxes for the key No instructions for the air con but otherwise this was a great place
