Gifford house for sure

The owner and staff was so friendly and went out of there way to keep you comfortable. Wonderful music in the lounge nightly. Would book again for sure .

This was my first time staying at Gifford. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. The facility itself is old, but quaint and in good repair. It’s conveniently located to Commercial Street, and was just an overall great experience.

The room reminded me of something I would see at a hostel. Bare and boring. There was no mention of music playing (loudly) from 9-1am nightly. We are a heterosexual couple and found the property excessively gay. We aren’t homophobic, but this environment was over the top. Like they wanted to throw it in our faces. If you’re gay, you only need a bed and a bathroom and you want loud music keeping you up at night this is your place…just not ours.

My wife and I traveled from New Hampshire specifically to stay at your hotel, expecting a peaceful and professional lodging environment consistent with the representations made during our reservation process. Instead, we were placed into a situation so disruptive and misrepresented that we were ultimately forced to vacate the property at approximately 9:30 PM and drive four hours back home that same night. At no point during the reservation process—through your third-party/contracted booking platform—were we informed that your property would be hosting a large-scale, pre-planned party involving well over 1,000 men in underwear occupying both the main floor and basement of the hotel. This omission represents a significant failure in disclosure and a material misrepresentation of the lodging environment. • The hotel lobby hosted a live singer accompanied by a grand piano that was amplified to such a degree that it was clearly audible and vibrational on the third floor, giving the impression that a band was performing in the room next door. • Beginning at approximately 9:00 PM, the majority of surrounding rooms were clearly assigned to party attendees, resulting in constant door slamming that resembled small explosions, reverberating throughout the hallway and rendering any reasonable rest impossible. • Most notably, foam ear protection was found placed on each nightstand in our room, which constitutes c

Everything was wonderful for me. I do not recommend for someone who wants to sleep early though. The bar gets noisy until 1am. Also not for handicapped as there are no elevators and it is at the top of a steep hill.

Nice property. They mention a bar which is fine. They dont mention the proximity to the room's. Our room was right above the piano bar and very close to the bar. It was loud. Great gay weekend but next time we will find someplace outside the party
