We had the loveliest three night stay at Las Estrellas de Samara. The lodge is a 10min drive from Samara up a dusty and windy road (you will need a 4x4 to access the property). Once at the top you will be greeted by the most amazing view over Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo. The individual lodges are modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. Luna Azul has a very welcoming atmosphere and staff, beautiful gardens full of wildlife and a pool with great rainforest and distant pacific views, particularly at sunset. We loved the open air restaurant and lounge/bar. Breakfast is tasty and substantial and excellent dinners are chosen from a blackboard menu which changes daily.
The 'sofa bed' was large and comfortable and could be configured as two singles so the room was great for a family of 4.
