Hotel Mondavi is located on top of a hill in one of the most luxurious and safe areas of Puerto Vallarta. There are many beautiful mansions around, and I saw police patrols often, which made the area feel very secure. The staff were friendly, and the property itself is quiet and peaceful.
The pool and rooftop areas were usually private — most of the time I was the only person there, which made it very relaxing. The room size was just right, and the air-conditioning worked well.
I walked from the hotel to downtown Puerto Vallarta several times. The walk took less than 40 minutes, and it was a nice road with great scenery.
This hotel is perfect if you want to relax, enjoy the views, and spend time at the property. However, if you plan to go to the beach or downtown multiple times a day, keep in mind that the walk or ride up the hill can be a bit challenging to do more than once a day.
Overall, it’s a great place for peace, comfort, and beautiful views.
