30 mins taxi to Puerto Vallarta
The most important thing to realise with this listing is that it is not where it shows on the map on its listing, nor where the 'get directions' button in the app shows. It is in fact 20km past Puerto Vallarta. The property are aware that there is a problem with the listing and said 'yes, some of the online listings are wrong' when I called for directions. You would think they would get that fixed or at least call it out in the description. The extra 30mins in a taxi doesn't make this a viable option if you are looking for somewhere that is in walking distance of Puerto Vallarta. Having said that, the position of the property is overlooking a stunning bay and the panoramic view from the suite is quite fabulous. The property itself is a bit dated but the layout of the suits and communal areas are very well done. Breakfast was nice (shame it wasn't included in the room price) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were privacy curtains, but nothing that blocks out light so you may want to bring an eye mask. There is a restaurant in the bay which I could hear from the bedroom although I did go to bed early having been on a bus for 9 hours that day. Ultimately I only ended up staying here for one night because I wanted to be in Vallarta as per the listing. So my overall experience wasn't great, but the place itself was very nice. If you are going to end up in somewhere remote then I can think of far worse options that this.

THIS HOTEL IS NOT IN LA ZONA ROMANTICA. It is in Boca de Tomatlan, 25 mins (16 km) south of Zona Romantica. I’ve reported it to Expedia but they haven’t changed it

Stylish with Bay Views!
We've stayed here multiple times and in several different suites which are all different and interestingly styish-great Boca views! This time we loved #8 (Nautilus Suite) which is dog friendly and has a full semi outdoor kitchen. The owner/manager couple are fantastic and live on the property.

Stylish Getaway
A unique experience-a combination of ocean inlet location, views and style. We had one of two dog friendly rooms (#8-Nautilus Suite) and it couldn't have been better.

Spectacular Views/European Boutique Hotel Feeling
It's a small, owner managed hotel built on a hillside overlooking an inlet and village. Every suite has a different view and decor-all good, some very large. Common areas are beautifully appointed and include a kitchen and two pools. This is our third stay over several years and it never disappoints.

I booked our visit many months in advance. The pictures at the time of booking included several beautiful fountains, breakfast included, and beautifully set dining tables. The property was unique and impressive but damaged from the recent hurricane. We messaged in advance to ask if the property was damaged and we were told it was “almost back to normal.” There was broken glass visible on the pathways and we did not feel safe using the pools. No option for food, water fountains not on, water features not working. Broken windows and no Wi-Fi service in town for dining nearby for credit cards. We are very sad the area had been hit by the hurricane but we would not have gone if they had described the situation accurately. In addition my son became ill. ( No fault of the Villa.) We left after one night. We did not ask for a refund. If the Villa had been in the condition as shown at the time of our booking we would have loved it. Our suite was beautiful and the person who was working there was very nice.

We are sorry for the incontinence. As hard as we worked to get our Villa back to original condition prior to the category 4 storm, we did not succeed by the time you arrived. Our local area was hit very hard, and everyone sustained property damage, so it was very difficult to find available workers to help us repair our damages in time for your arrival. We did offer you the option to reschedule your reservation and offer you a few nights stay free of charge. We are very sorry that we did not meet your expectation, but I am sure that if you return you will have a much better experience.

Thank you for your comments and review. The property has purified water dispensers throughout the property, but no water dispensers per room. As our listing description indicates, we are 10 miles south of downtown Puerto Vallarta Romantic Zone. You say that "we have no service at all", I am not sure what kind of service you are referring to. We have a lobby receptionist, a nighttime and daytime security, outside maintenance personal, and three housemaids for daily room service. It is very strange that your 3-day reservation was extended to 5 days. I would think that if you were not happy with our facility, that you would not have asked for an extra 2 days. Nonetheless, thank you for your stay with us

We just were there for one night, and they literally kicked us out at 11:30am. Francisco checked us in, and was very accommodating, but there was a different guy the next day and he had a terrible attitude, my husband and I got back from breakfast and headed to the pool at 11:30am he chased us and told us that we needed to leave the property because checkout was at 12:00, I said to him that it was 11:30 and he said yes, but you need to leave!

Our check in time is at 3, and when guest check in they expect for their suite to be ready and available. Our maids need the appropriate time in order to have the suites available and ready for when the guest checks in.Our check-out time is at 12, and perhaps our personal felt that since it was 11:30, and you were still in the swimming pool enjoying yourself, you should be reminded of the check-out time. Guest are allowed to stay after 12 and enjoy the swimming pools, as long as they leave their luggage and belonging in the lobby so that our maids can attend to the rooms. We are sorry you did not use this courtesy option

Beautiful property however it is not what is advertised. It says its in the romantic zone, but its actually a 50min cab ride south of the zona romantica. Theres nothing around and it said free breakfast but there was nowhere to get it.

I do not understand your comment that says that we are located in the romantic zone. Our GPS location on our website and on Expedia clearly shows that we are located 10 miles south of downtown Puerto Vallarta Romantic Zone. And by the way, it does not take 50 minutes to drive into downtown romantic zone, it is only a 20-25 minute driveAs for breakfast, on your arrival you are given breakfast vouchers so that you can have breakfast at our affiliate beach frontage restaurant. I am sorry but this is a none deserving bad review.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Armonia for 4 days. It is a very nice property surrounded with the most beautiful view imaginable. This is a great place to get away and just read books, fish, swim, eat. There is no nightlife here and no shopping surrounding it. It is a very small town but the locals make it very welcoming to anyone staying there. We rented a boat for a few hours and the man who took us was so nice and easy going. The cost is very affordable. The whole Vila only has less than 20 rooms so it felt like we had the pool and hotel to ourselves the whole trip even though it was booked up. I hardly ran into anyone. I think next time we book the Villa we will be bringing our family and book it all up. Great location to get away to just relax. It was about 30 mins from the zona romantica. The drive was off the coast so it felt short. I would book again.

It was like a castle! Beautiful design and lots of artwork! It was a rainy season and the ocean water was muddy from the river, but you can take a “water taxi” to the nice beach (~$10 round trip, 15-20 min)

Not Up To Level It Should Be
Room was advertised as a suite with sitting area that included couch, love seat, coffee table. They replaced all that with a bed (we only needed one bed and chose this room to use the seating area). We were disappointed. Changes need to be reflected on websites. No refrigerator in room, so had to use community fridge in main living area, and someone stole our 6-pack of Coke and 10 bottles of Club Soda. Management was gracious enough to give us 2-liter bottles of each even though it wasn't their fault someone stole it, but if management provided a fridge in each room, wouldn't be a problem. Last night of 4 nights, power went out due to fire on telephone pole across the street. No back-up generator at hotel, so we had no air conditioning (it was 87 and humid) and no shower water. Had to leave for airport next morning after no sleep and no shower. Over-all the hotel is beautiful and design is unique. Location is fun. However, fountains were never turned on (or water falls), and the restaurant was closed due to COVID even though website said breakfast was included each day. It was obvious they were winding down for the rainy season and didn't had a "end-of-year" attitude. Over-all were were disappointed.

Tranquil stay with beautiful views
Hosts and staff were great, really friendly. The views are amazing, and I felt relaxed at all times. The room was cleaned daily, was bigger than in the pictures and the place itself is isolated from everyone which is what I was looking for. Access to the beach as well as described.

We were looking for a smaller, more private vacation experience and Villa Armonia fit perfectly! The hillside location overlooking the river estuary was great for birding and tropical views.. The staff all came through to make us feel welcome in every way! It’s a place to consider for another time!

We went July the weather was amazing sunny the whole four days it was absolutely breathtaking. The staff was very friendly family ran and they are amazing people.. They even let me use their professional kitchen so I could cook me and my girl friend a romantic meal on our third year anniversary. The place has a very private vibe like you're in your own Mansion Villa in Boca. The place is decorated beautifully, artisticly, and very classy. I would remend you don't miss out and book a stay.

Area and views are unique. So quiet by the Boca Bay and it felt very remote but you had timely and enjoyable water taxi access to new beaches along the coast away from the hustle of PV center. Botanical gardens, taco stands, Le Kliff, Ocean Grill all amazing food destinations.

Look Too Good to be True? It's not!!!
Location:Beautiful surroundings, overlooking a beautiful cove with beach. Scenic trip between airport and hotel.. place is worth the 50 min drive. Facilties: "Luxury" is a grossly over-used word and undermines descriptions that truly deserve it like this one. True luxury in every aspect of this place. Everything made of marble and other beautiful stone and woods. Rooms are huge and all have beautiful views. Entire walls are sliding heavy glass doors that can make your room almost an outside room.... least the room we were in. Even at full capacity, this hotel will give you the privacy you want in the many living areas. 2 large pools, 1 hot tub are more than enough for everyone. Scenic in every area you are... too many to choose from. Amenities: All luxury amenities. Food:Excellent cook! makes killer ceviche and every item in the menu is finger licking good. He's not a Michelin rated chef.. but whatever he learned to make, on the menu, and the style he learned.. he learned to perfection, and is Michelin worthy. Request off menu items at your own risk...(not saying you'll be dissapointed, I'm just being picky here, relatively speaking). Read the wine labels and make sure the aged wines are varietals that age well. Otherwise, make sure the vintage is not too old. Service: Best service in Vallarta area. Attentive, helpful and super friendly. Take advantage now before rates go up too high or some Hollywood celebrity buys it out.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Service, Remote Location
This is a beautiful hotel in an area 8 miles south of the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta called Boca de Tomatian, Jalisco, Mexico. This hotel is NOT in Puerto Vallarta. Hotel is very nice, private, tremendous personalized guest service that a 4-room resort can provide. Free full breakfast, beautiful pools and hot tub, and overall scenery is great. Just beware of the location, as it is misrepresented and mapped incorrectly on the website (as of 1/2/2018).

El lugar esta muy alejado, sin opciones para comer en el lugar, el desayuno que se incluye en la reservacion es en una palapa en la playa lejos de ahi, tiene uno que acceder a los comercios locales para alimentarse, los cuales no estan cerca, siempre hay que tomar taxi y no hay transporte, no funciona el aire acondicionado, aparte de que esta aun en construcción asi que hay trabajadores en la villa, el agua de las albercas muy fria, esta muy caro para lo que oferta, terminamos buscando otra reservación cercana y perdiendo nuestro dinero
