"The hospitality was unmatched! Every single staff member took care of me while I was there. They even made sure that I had a ride from and to the airport. My plane got delayed by a couple of hours and at 2am they made sure I got to the hotel safely. Even the smallest of details they cared about because they wanted to make sure my stay was perfect, and it was. They treat you like family. The breakfast was amazing, and everything was clean. 10/10"

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE The elevator did not work We stayed for 4 nights and they don’t come to change the room. At the end, they will change you for anything. The blanket had. Stain before and they wanted to charge me the whole blaket, a towel and and pillow case .. we ended paying $30US extra for nothing. This is in downtown a lot of noise"

"We had a wonderful 3nites stay at the end of April 2026. The staff were attentive and kind. The location is excellent, in front of quiet alley with several cafes. The hotel entrance may be a bit off putting, but once you walk up one flight of stairs, Sama Hotel Sherif Basha lobby awaits you behind glass doors. Newly renovated one floor hotel. Be sure to select rooms with windows on the alley side or main street side. The windows are well insulated from noise. The location is only blocks from the other Sama hotel that is in the square, which is much more noisy. So many restaurants, shops and cafes to choose right in the neighborhood. Access to Egyptian museum and the Nile river is faster on foot than Uber, due to high traffic congestion. With that said, Uber is great since it is abundant and very very affordable. We love this location and the hotel is EXCELLENT. Breakfast is limited but fresh and basic. So many eateries around that we save our tummy for the street food. Can't wait to return to Cairo. "Wonderful place for a stay with a family."

"This hotel is the perfect base to explore the Pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. We used their personalised entrance service to go directly to the pyramids without the usual entrance way which was nice - it’s not a glamorous entrance mind, but it’s very convenient. We also added the additional tour guide option which made exploring the site much more efficient as well as learning a few extra nuggets of local knowledge and historical insight. The hotel itself is tucked away from the rest of Cairo in its own compound so was surprisingly quiet. The grounds themselves are well maintained with lovely lawns and water features for the birds. The food was good, though if you’re vegan the lunch menu was poor. That being said, the tomato sauce and pasta was actually the best I’ve had pretty much anywhere so that’s a plus! The Indian restaurant on site however had amazing vegan options and we ordered too much because the portion sizes were pretty big! The room itself was clean and tidy and had everything we’d need - but the internet connection is terrible. Better to rely on your own 5G connection."
