"Even though our Wotif booking was made 3mnths in advance and paid for, the Motel had never received the booking or the funds.
Being a rural and isolated town, the motel owners went above and beyond and arranged for us to stay in a nearby house at no charge.
Such amazing service.

"We stayed in one of the 10 Slab Huts, very rustic but comfortable. Close to tourist locations with QANTAS Founders across road and Stockmans Hall of Fame both within short walking distance.
The only drawback would be the traffic noise from highway with road trains travelling 24/7."

"Beautiful room, tastefully decorated, relaxing, every need catered for all in a spacious, historic setting. A very warm welcome by the owner, nothing was too much trouble. We will not be staying anywhere else in Charters Towers."
