"What a nice hotel stay Room was spacious and clean as a pin. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked and pretty good. Stsff was helpful and friendly. One drawback is the parking garage. The spaces are very tight for full size cars and trucks and nearly touch when between the lines. The downtown Greensboro is a nice walk with a panhandler or 2.. Stop at Cheesecakes by Alex for a treat."

"Marriott has always been a part of my travel plans, it has always been my first choice when it comes to hotels out of town. I have to say, though, this time I was thoroughly disappointed. I expected the complimentary breakfast, as is common in various locations across the U.S. nation, but here at Marriott Downtown Greensboro, it had to be paid for. The bedroom, claimed to house 4 people, felt small and almost claustrophobic. And to add to that, we had to share a bathroom without a fan for the fog from the shower or to disperse the smell of a meal's aftermath. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. It would be unfair, though, not to mention the help of the staff, especially the young gentleman who provided us hot water for some tea around the nighttime. I wish I had gotten his name, but I will be forever appreciative to him--his customer service was exemplary. If and when I return to Greensboro, NC, I will not be returning to this hotel. I would rather book at the Hyatt a couple minutes away, who offers free breakfast, enough square feet for 4 people, and a fan in the bathroom when sharing such a tight space--all for the same price. I expected more from such a well-known hotel company, one I have been in partnership for years. I will have to think twice before booking with Marriott again."

"Room very clean and helpful staff. Only discrepancy was hole in window apparently from rock, but upon initially seeing the hole it appeared to be a bullet hole."

"The stay was OK. The room was fine. They treated us OK, except for the absolutely horrible experience with the general manager. I heard voices in the hallway. I thought the manager had given permission to someone to solicit the guests. Immediately I decided that I was not interested in whatever they were offering. I was wrong. No one was soliciting anything. When they knocked on my door, I did not respond. The next thing I know the general manager was coming in the door. I thought the "Do not disturb" sign was on the door. Even if it wasn't, he should not have been coming in without our permission. He said he wanted to know if we needed anything. Glad we were not indisposed in some embarrassing way. If it had been housekeeping I can understand them wanting to clean the room. If we did not respond why was he coming in? Sign or no sign, what excuse did he have to come in without our permission. Never have I experienced such an unpleasant event in a hotel. This practice of disturbing the guests is absurd and unnecessary. If I need something, I'll contact the front desk. This practice should be discontinued immediately."

"What a surprise. I never expected a botuique hotel. I'm so impressed with my stay there. I'm now retired, but while working I taveled extensively and stayed in high end hotels. This was every bit as nice and the cost was reasonable. Quality beds, comfort height toilets,nice shower, what more can I say? I've told several people I know who travel throiugh Greensboro abouit the Demin and strongly advise they use the hotel. JWD"

"I was very disappointed with my stay. The property appeared old and poorly maintained. The bed sheets looked dirty, and there was a chair in the room covered in stains that I did not feel comfortable placing my belongings near. Upon arrival, the staff could not locate my reservation and blamed Expedia for the issue. As a result, I had to wait over an hour for the situation to be resolved. This was especially frustrating because I was traveling with my elderly mother and we were left waiting until approximately 2:30 a.m. before the reservation was finally sorted out. Overall, the cleanliness, condition of the room, and poor handling of the reservation issue made for a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this property."
