"Room was okay. Toilet was peeling and leaking?!?!? Beds were tiny and uncomfortable. The blankets were thin and there was a cigarette burn in on of the comforters. Breakfast was okay. We did have the best view of the capitol building."

"Found this little gem when I was travelling for HS reunion, clean, comfortable and more amenities then some luxury branded hotels. Staff was very friendly and the room we had was the full length of the building (front to back) with a sitting room (sofa, side tables, table with chairs, microwave, kitchen sink, dishes and multiple packets of regular coffee - Wolfgang Puck brand for the single brew machine. The bedroom was separated by a door, had a comfortable bed & two stuffed chairs, bathroom...

"Beautiful place with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Dimitri was gracious and knowledgeable about the house and town history. Loved it!!!"

"Was not aware the pool was closed until we arrived. Even though it has been closed for weeks. This is the only reason we booked this hotel. Ran out of towels so had to dry off after our shower with a hand towel. My cousins has issues with water temp and thier bathroom smelled like sewage all night."

"staff at the front desk were excellent although we were assigned a room where the air conditioning did not work but they sent a mechanic to the room right away. When it was found the system would not work, they arranged to move us to another room but it had to be after we got back from a wedding at 11pm."

"This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink."

"Enter the lobby and you are overwhelmed by a spray air freshener! Like getting sneezed on by a bathbomb! Horrible Manger was rude and not helpful! I arrived to check in and there weren’t any rooms available! I asked how and she just said we ain’t got no rooms….I had to scramble to find a place to stay that weekend! Will never return or recommend!"

"The night staff that checked us in we're great. Two guys, very friendly and made it quick The housekeepers were always happy to help. The dryer in the laundry room was terrible. It cost me $15 to keep drying a load and after all that time it was still very wet. I had to bring it to a laundromat to finish it."
