"Lovely cottage however when there for work you need two things. Hot water and a bed. Bed were comfy but hot water was absent. Out of 24 showers across 4 adults and 6 days only 3 ran hot. Second bedroom vibrates and is super loud whenever water is running anywhere in the house too. Disappointed as we called the owners and they assured us a maintenance person would come and check and fix this issue, meaning one of us took a day off work to wait for the person. Who never came. Great Western Hotel

"All the staff were welcoming and very helpful: top marks, as was the food/drink offerings and opportunity to pre-book on-site parking. The lingering musty carpet smell throughout was off-putting and the window openings in our room were limited (probably for safety reasons), but this meant the ledges and tops of the windows (and the curtain rail) were blackened with dust and grime - not a pretty outlook for guests. I appreciate that this aspect of room cleaning could not be undertaken by the daily cleaning crew, but couldn't the maintainence team undertake a schedule of unlocking the windows in say, 5 or more vacant rooms a day to enable all the windows and curtain rails to be cleaned properly (and carpets) until the jobs were completed. Give them a bonus if the jobs are completed satisfactorily and ahead of schedule. I am not a moaner, just giving honest feed back as requested."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean with plenty of room for our family of four plus a large dog, opening out onto a small patio area and garden. The pool was small but welcoming and a treat for the children. The breakfast was outstanding and all staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable amd satisfied with our stay. Highly recommend."

"It was very cozy and safe for a mom and son solo traveling. The rooms are nice sized and the window. To the bay was huge with beautiful views and quite a nice place to people watch on the water. It's very close walking distance into town for shops and food but the working boat on property has delish meals, including Sunday roast."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Falmouth Hotel. The building is beautiful, with a grand historic interior, and the lounge overlooking the sea was one of our favourite places to relax. The location is excellent, directly across from Castle Beach, within walking distance of Gyllyngvase Beach, and only a short stroll into town. We also enjoyed the indoor pool, and it would be fantastic to see the former outdoor pool restored one day. Every meal we had—from breakfast to afternoon tea, sandwiches, and fish and chips—was excellent, and the staff were consistently professional and welcoming. Our room was clean, and the free on-site parking was a significant bonus, although it did fill up during busier periods. A couple of things are worth keeping in mind: the hotel hosts weddings/receptions, and the reception during our stay continued until around midnight, which affected our sleep. We also visited during warm weather, and because the hotel does not have air conditioning, our west-facing room became quite hot despite the fan provided. Even with those minor drawbacks, the atmosphere was lovely, and the hotel felt more like a seaside resort than simply a place to sleep. It was the best out of several hotels that we stayed at during our trip. We would definitely stay here again."

"The only thing wrong is that the hotel needs upgrading, there were stains on the carpet in reception, as well as in the bar area, in some of the rooms as well. if you are an older guest or have mobility problems the room that we were in, had a bath, with a shower over but I could not access, no room to sit on the toilet as the basin was too close to the toilet and had a nasty crack in it. No lift to access our room, just a staircase which I have a job to use as I have severe arthritis. My fault I should of asked about disabled facilities."
