"We had the best stay at awa!! The property is very tastefully done , location on the beach is perfect , breakfast and just food overall (including the coffee) overall is delicious, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff , esp. "Nice swimming pool, staff friendly and very helpful. Kitchen very well equipped and functional. Location great- Very close to a beach, national park entrance and bus stop. Unfortunately there is a plumbing issue so there was often a nasty smell by the poolside and both toilets in our rooms didn’t flush properly."

"My room was neat and clean. The staff did a good job cleaning my room and making up the bed. I do not have any issues or concerns. Also, the administrative staff was very helpful. The parking lot was adequate."

"Excellent staff and the property is reminiscent of a resort more so than a hotel/stay. Access to beach is extremely easy, attached to the backside of the property, though the beachfront is not 'developed' or 'set up' so do not expect a resort-like sun-chair set up. Excellent location if you want to be away from the hustle bustle of puerto viejo, but still biking distance to get to all the shops and cafes. Fabiano at the front desk, and Rosita for breakfast service, were both absolute delights...
