"We had an absolutely amazing stay. As someone who regularly stays at Relais & Châteaux properties, I can confidently say the level of service here truly matches that standard. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. The food was consistently delicious, with a great variety and quality, even though we also took the opportunity to explore a few dining spots around Hiriketiya. Still, meals at the property were among our favorites. The grounds themselves are beautifully maintained, featuring lush tropical gardens, mature trees, and vibrant plants that create a peaceful, secluded atmosphere. In the evenings, the candlelight ambiance adds something really special. Staying in an ocean-facing room was a highlight—you can hear the waves at night, which makes for a deeply relaxing experience. The property also felt very safe, and we loved seeing monkeys and peacocks wandering around the grounds. Even though we visited during the low season, everything exceeded expectations. We first stayed in a sea-view bedroom and later upgraded to a Master Bedroom with a plunge pool, which made the experience even more memorable. With upcoming renovations and a spa in the works, we would absolutely love to return. An extraordinary stay from start to finish."

"Had a great stay that definitely met our expectations. Room was beautiful and comfortable with much needed AC. Perfect, relaxing location with a beautiful pool and beach. The hotel has a newer chef who has upgraded the food which we enjoyed so much we didn’t feel the need to schlep into the busy town. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make our way back to Sri Lanka one day. The hotel also provides but they seem to be around especially if one is sensitive. Also special mention to the owner who is super friendly and hands-on enduring that the guests’ needs are being met. Thank you! "

"We had an exceptional stay at Turtle Bay. From start to finish, the service was a consistent **5-star experience**; every staff member went above and beyond, and we were honestly gutted to only be staying for one night. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome, including cold cloths and a refreshing drink—exactly what we needed after a long journey. Our room (Green Turtle) was lovely: spacious, featuring twin beds, dressing gowns, and a large bathroom stocked with toiletries. We also had a generous balcony overlooking the pool and beach, which provided the perfect vantage point for sunset views. This was one of the only rooms we stayed in in Sri Lanka that had a full length mirror, an added bonus. The only thing we found was the sheet on the bed wasn't quite enough for us, and we should have asked for a blanket but didn't at the time, otherwise we slept very well and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant offered a fantastic range of dinner options, from fresh seafood and local delicacies to international dishes—all at very reasonable prices. **Note:** While everything is priced in USD, payment is made in LKR. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a great selection including fresh fruit platters, made-to-order omelettes, and toast. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. "We were given an upgrade...very thankful for the huge room. Great air conditioning unit..plus fans. Staff were all happy and helpful. A special thank you to Isuru from the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. He helped me choose the right Sri Lankan option at breakfast...it was fantastic and a lot of food...all superbly cooked by the chefs. Pool on the Rooftop with Spectacular views of the Hiriketiya Beach. Also to watch the daily antics of the local monkeys. Location 100mtrs to the beach. Lots of dining options in the area."

"I was very unhappy with this accommodation, which we paid £200 per night. On arrival the hotel staff and checking was very nice, our room was on the fourth floor via the lift and very, very steep stairs to the room. The bathroom was awful totally open to the outside world view with plastic curtain which kept blowing around in the wind, when you were trying to take a shower. This wasn't shown in photo's on your website or mention in the description to this room. Also no desk in the room, or balony table and chairs. However, we complained about our dissatisfaction on the first day, On Monday we had enough and decided to leave with despair of paying £200 per a night, for a terrible room. We didnt even want to have their breakfast, worried that we would be disappointed with that as well. The Manager said he would refunded us for the full cost, but there wasnt anything in writing."
