"The location was good, walking distance from the main train station and very close to the underground. There is a sketchy area one should avoid a few blocks away if the walking. Our room was clean, but our friends room next door looked like someone had been murdered on the carpet. Our shower door was missing the seal at the bottom, so the whole bathroom would flood when showering. We alerted housekeeping, but the problem was not fixed. Overall though, for the price, it was a good stay. They do a nice job of breakfast considering the hundreds of people they serve each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again, but if the room is subpar, ask for a change."

"We were able to check in early thanks to helpful staff. Hotel facilities fine and room comfortable. A/ C adequate when on full setting. Some areas a bit worn/ tired eg carpets of common areas. Good central location easily accessible from main train station by ten minute walk or three tram stops."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Maritim Hotel Köln and would happily stay here again. The room was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated having reliable air conditioning during some warm July days. The hotel is in an excellent location, it is an easy walk to Cologne Cathedral, the Old Town, the Rhine, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. We were able to explore most of the city centre on foot, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome. If I had to find one small criticism, it would be that the elevators could be a little slow during busy times, but it was a very minor inconvenience and didn’t take away from an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, well located hotel with outstanding staff, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne."

"Very nice central hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. There is no lift which wasn’t an issue for us. If you need easy access request a ground floor room. Greeted by a very helpful welcoming lady and all staff were kind and welcoming and happy to speak English as our French isn’t great. Would recommend this place. Nice place to stay with great location"

"I paid extra for the sauna. The reception desk was unoccupied, visitors to the saunas were unclear of the rules and where to get bathrobes. Nice facilities but lacked staff."

"My wife spotted this hotel - it was a the same price as a couple I had seen, but the reviews were better and it didn't disappoint. Super breakfast, helpful staff, air-conditioned, well maintained and a great location just a 15 minute walk fro the station / cathedral. We saw the hotels I had identified on-line which were on top of busy roads, and we were so pleased we stayed here."
