"Room and bathroom were very clean and modern. The rug runner between the beds was a nice touch. However, the shower/tub had no grab bars and not tub mat which made the bottom of tub very slippery and possible to fall down easily. The outside pool area looked very modern and somewhat secluded. However, the front parking area in unfinished recently demolished restaurant parking and the back parking lot is spacious, but didn't seem secure."

"Room was facing the Main Street. It was very loud outide with the train whistle blowing late at night and the sounds of cars speeding down the street. We were in a room with an adjoining room. The neighbors were very loud and the doors allowed a lot of noise into our room. It was very difficult to sleep well."

"Our stay at The Lantern Hotel was truly incredible. This brand-new hotel is such a special addition to Columbia, and we feel so lucky that we were able to stay in the Fire Tower, it made the experience even more unique. Everything about the property was wonderful. The hotel itself was incredibly clean, and the housekeeping staff were so kind and welcoming every time we saw them. The ambiance throughout the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. One of our favorite parts was spending hours outside by the fire pit with drinks and food, it was the perfect place to unwind. The restaurant was amazing as well. The food was so good that we ended up eating there both nights of our stay, and the drinks were just as impressive. It really added to the whole experience. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was Quentin. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond. He checked us in and personally walked us to our room, which immediately made us feel welcomed. Quentin seemed to be there every day and night, we joked that we don’t think he ever leaves! Every time we saw him, we stopped to talk, and he was always so kind, funny, and genuinely helpful. It’s clear that Quentin truly cares about hospitality and about both the guests and the staff. He went out of his way for us multiple times to make sure our stay went smoothly. His level of service is rare and so appreciated. Honestly, he’s so great that he should be the Senior General Manager! Highly recommend staying here!!"

"Everything about this hotel is terrific, except for ONE thing: the coffee! I waited for a fresh pot. But what Ì got tasted bitter, perhaps burnt. Clean your coffee pots folks!"

"Room was pretty clean. Train noise was a bit loud. Valet parking was inconvenient, took a while to get car back. Room was in a good location. Breakfast could use some improving."

"Clean and safe. Cool fireplace to sit in front of outside that had a tv on. It was relaxing. We all sat out there until midnight. Employee found my brother in laws wallet out there and returned it to him. Variety at breakfast and it was good!"
