There is a great vibe of activity and expectation. Many happy people from all over the world. It is located perfectly, on the lake and on the river bank. "Great stay in Narvik at the Royal. Great breakfast included. Old school bar restaurant attached. If you’re skiing and don’t have a car, it’s a 20-30 minute hike up the hill. Call a taxi. Good lobby snacks including sandwiches if you arrive late. Rooms w view of the ski hill are available. Check that ski hill is fully open when planning. Gondola was closed and 3 slopes were open in Feb 2026 as they prepared for World Championships "

"We had a really nice stay at the Hotell Fjallet, my wife had injured her ankle, so we got a room at the ground floor, very helpful staff. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, we could see the northern lights outside from our room, and there was a fast charger for EVs next to the hotel, ideal to pop up the car for our trip to Norway the next day.
