Great Hotel close to the beach

Very comfortable and clean hotel with beautiful gardens. Close to the great beach. Nice pool area with amazing views. Very friendly staff. Very caring owner ready to give us hand when we asked for help. Breakfast was tasty and nicely served. Hotel is very close to the Rio Hato airport. Will recommend to everybody.

Perfect resting spot on my way from boquete to Panama City . Parked the car and didn’t have to move it for two days. Nice full service restaurant on location, pool, hammocks , beach and very friendly service . Family owned and operated resort with that personal touch.

We loved the pool, outdoor spaces and beach. All wonderful! The food, including breakfast, was truly fresh and delicious. Our room was spacious, though the furnishings a little dated. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and made our stay so pleasant. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

If it was a hostel (hostel prices) it would be ok

We booked Casa Guardia for some relaxing days. First of all The positive stuff: the host and the staff were very nice and the hotel has a pool and sea- entry, but - and it is a very big but! - there were several things, that were just NOT ok (for a price of 190 Dollars/Night - if it was a 60 Dollar/Night BnB all that would have been fine): - the breakfast was 2 sorts of fruits, toast and jam. That was it. Of course you also had the possibility to order, but you had to be very cautious because: if you wanted one omelette - that was fine, but if you wanted two Omelettes or pancakes - you would be charged (I was even charged double though I only ordered once ...) - the room was described as ‚Garden view‘ - well if you consider the hallway as the garden that is true. Three walls were heading to the hallway and one was heading to the bathroom - so you could either watch the people passing (and be watched by them in your room) or there was just no daylight. - the ‚Spa‘ just didn‘t exist. There was one massage chair and that was it. If you advertise with spa there should be, well, something. When we ordered a massage it was postponed twice until in the end it was cancelled. - the restaurant would have been ok priced, if it was good. We had Spaghetti frutti di Mare - just DO NOT DO that - we had stomachache for hours. - We were told two put the toilet paper into a bin - which is no problem, if the bin is emptied once a day. Which it wasn't. I could go on, and on, and on

If you love the ocean & good vibes, this is it!

My father and I were on a road trip and found this lovely family run hotel. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a lovely, spacious room with a beautiful view and a balcony. Across the street is where the pool, lounging area can be found. It’s perfect for reading a book or cooking off from the heat. There are also stairs so you can go for a walk and explore the local beach. But, be mindful of high tide, or you’ll have to wade or walk back on the road. The hotel has a small restaurant on site with a wonderful chef that makes a daily menu of fresh, local cuisine. Everything was delicious! There is also a communal space where you can play pool or table tennis. Although, this area was directly below my room I didn’t hear a thing. It’s a great place to spend some time away from the huge crowds at the all inclusive resorts. They do an excellent job! My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. I’m looking forward to returning.

Casa Guardia a hidden Gem.

The experience at Casa Guardia was awesome! The grouds well groomed, the staff was very kind to us. We take the dinner at Los Abuelos by the hand of the onsite chef and wad deliciuos and vere generous portion. My fiance takes paella and I had steak with smashed potatoes. Mr. Guardia was also there and was pending on all the guests. Our experience was so delightful that we think on this place as an option for our wedding.

Great place to relax

Great experience. Owners are on site all the time keeping an eye on everything. BTW, he is a great conversationalist who truly enjoys telling you about his carrier and different places where they have resided. The hotel is very quaint and the pool next to the ocean adds a lot to this facility.

Casa Guardia fue para nosotros un lugar de ensueños. El trato humano de todo el personal es excelente. Te hacen sentir como si estuvieras en tu casa o parte de su familia. La comida exquisita los cocteles extraordinarios y todo el local es hermoso. La playa esta espectacular y la piscina. No tenemos quejas. De seguro volveremos.
