"We had a nice 3 night stay at the Maryland Inn. The property was well maintained and we enjoyed the historic elements of it. I did use the provided hairdryer which blew a fuse to our room. They fixed it promptly, but our power subsequently went out 3 more times despite us not using anything. Each time they took care of it and did offer a new room if it continued. "The place is seriously dated and in need of upgrades. My curtains were torn and unusable and with the sun beating in on one of those 100 degree days I was nonplussed. A quick discussion with the very accommodating desk clerk had the curtain “fixed” in no time (still needed replacement because it now couldn’t be opened - Lol.) Needed to find a plug and looked behind the nightstand - quite dusty. Breakfast was pretty ok. Staff who checked me out was quite personable. So 10 for the staff,...

"Breakfasts were ok. Bar needs to be opened Earlier maybe 3:00. Housekeeping was sadly lacking. We stayed 5 nights. On the 3rd day we had to ask for towels and trash removal since household had not been there since check in. They came with towels and emptied trash, that’s all. Never had clean towels after that. Our, bathroom was never cleaned, no new beverage glasses provided at all. Bed never made entire stay. Informed front desk at check out. Clerk was nice and apologized."

"Breakfast items were tasty and fresh but something besides sweets would have been nice, such as yogurt, eggs, and nuts. Our room was small but has a bench, desk, full mirror. The bed was comfy but very squeaky. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out. Parking was $50 a night which was nuts. Plenty of garages in the area that would allow you to park for a fraction of that. Excellent location. Quiet and safe with tons of shops and cafes in walking distance. "
