Round Lake hotel guide. Great Wolf Lodge hotel in Round Lake, Illinois

"If the rooms were as Wonderful as The Staff this would be a 5⭐️ hotel. Rooms were nice on appearance but dated and dirty. Bathrooms were small and had to get in and out. Bath floors were dirty and tile and caulk were in need of maintenance . Carpets had burn marks and TV was Analog . Had 2 different people try and fix never happened. They asked us to move rooms to rectify but the TV was no better. "

"Absolutely nothing in the room except towels, washcloths and soap. The entrance is not ADA compliant; had to get ahead of my husband to open the door for him. I chose this hotel because it had good reviews: honestly, I don’t know how! We had to ask for a parking pass that a sign said was required to be in the car. There were some pests, but at that point we were on our last night. The beds were very low and uncomfortable. There were stains on the walls in various areas of the room (from not being cleaned well, not age related). Would not choose to stay again."

"Breakfast and bar were very nice front desk guy, not so nice. Wife had bite from there beds and he threatened to kick us out like it was our fault they have bugs! Then told us we can’t have any visitors that we can sit with our parents in the lobby! Like I’m a little kid. Never have I heard you can’t have guests in a hotel. Furthermore I never had a guest. Very disrespectful. Then I cleaned my room after I got home from work and set the dirty shower towels and 3 little grocery bags with garbage. They had the nerve to call my room wake up my wife to tell her we can’t put garbage outside of our room. Every hotel I’ve ever been to that’s what you do to get you garbage picked up especially when they don’t offer to clean your room you have to ask 24hrs in advance. Absolutely horrible staff, disrespectful, rude, and nosy. The guy follows you around like a little kid to make sure you don’t have a guest. Very weird!"

"Checking staff was very friendly. Wanted a late check out and they accommodated it at no extra cost. The elevators were slow as hell but at least they worked. Room wasn’t stocked completely. Missing some towels and soap to wash your hands.Overall not too bad for the price."
