"The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

"All staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, made us feel very relaxed during our stay. The breakfast here was absolutely fabulous with everything there that it stated was there. We also had an afternoon tea booked for after our small wedding and this was excellent and so was the lovely Maria who served our champagne and made sure we had everything we needed. Above and beyond expectations and we were not rushed at all. There is plenty of parking for guests and the grounds of the Hotel are...

"Arrived at the hotel, which to their credit allowed us to check in early as we had to get to a wedding before their usual check-in time. Unfortunately the room was absolutely freezing - we thought the heating might be off, but it was actually on. As we were in a rush we turned the heater up and left for the day. We got back late at night to find the room still extremely cold. As the reception building was closed, and we’d previously been told that the hotel was fully booked, we handed the key in...

"Check in was quick. Room was dated but clean and tidy. Gym was adequate. However, I barely slept. The room was ridiculously warm, even with the windows open. The walls were paper thin so I could hear everything in the neighbouring rooms. The hotel is on a main road so the traffic noise was loud with the window open. "

"I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. "Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request...
