Both of really loved the 'feel' and hospitality of the Safir Konak - the way it brought the local community together (lots of people come to 'eat n meet' in the bar / restaurant) with a lovely place to stay for visitors. "Safranbolu is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We stayed in the old, wooden town. Easy to walk around. Hotel very helpful with maps etc. A must to visit is Yoruk, very old town, 12 km away being restored. It was a 6.5 drive from Istanbul & absolutely worth the trip. "
