The Hotel Cleunes D'Oleron is a great hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and well equipped. The pool is fabulous and the location is excellent. The staff dealt very very well with COVID restrictions to allow breakfast (which was lovely) to go ahead as normal. Excellent hotel

Lovely family friendly site close to the beach. The owners were delightful. We could only secure one night and would have loved to stay longer but it was full despite the owner trying to help us. Our 2 little grandaughters loved it. The lodge was clean well equipped and had super outside space with terrace. You are a stones throw from the beach. Hotel staff were very friendly and were able to understand English as we have no French. Hotel has a relaxing air, with a nice sauna, steam room and swimming pool. Breakfast is available at additional cost, but fair value for money and includes fresh fruit salad, ham & cheese, selection of breads, jams/preserves, boiled eggs, croissants, yougart, tea and coffee etc. The hotel has a bar that sells drinks, but unfortunately this closes at 9pm.

We received a great welcome by the staff who were very helpful and gave us all the information we required ( she had a wonderful gravelly voice). The staff member spoke clear slow french to make sure I understood ( but she also had very good English) the room was basic but had a sea view and air conditioning and toiletries so everything we needed. Nice property. Aircon very efficient (temp was in the 30’s) Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Staff were very helpful Excellent spa pool and massage jets.

Lovely room with balcony and view of the beach. We were a little disappointed as room was not cleaned for the first few days and we had to request clean towels and toilet rolls to be brought to room. Management were very good and apologised. Location was perfect.On the whole a wonderful place to stay.

We intended to stay just for one night on our way south to Spain, but one of our number fell ill after a hectic night out. The hotel was able to accommodate us in the same room and offered to help our party's recovery and transition the next day. Kind and thoughtful members of staff made our stay really memorable.

All the staff and the welcome was seriously first class and went way beyond even relais and chateau standards where we usually choose to stay. Very genuine and impressive. Deborah at breakfast deserves a special mention. As the hotel is mainly round a beautiful courtyard it could be a little noisy at times. Very comfortable bed and super linens. bath towels a little small. Would absolutely recommend. we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return

Beautiful property, stylish decor and excellent hosts. Great location in the lovely town of Rochefort. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The pool was a very welcome amenity particularly in the heatwave!

Lovely hotel overlooking the beach. Room had a balcony where we ate breakfast. Staff all lovely and helpful. Coffee very good but then it is a tea room as well. Thoroughly enjoyable although we were only there one night. Wished we stayed longer.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a relaxing break in this lovely seaside resport. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the seafront. It's opposite the railway station making it easy to get into La Rochelle (20 mins away) or a trip to Bordeaux for the day in the other direction. The trains are not noisy and the rooms are quiet.
