Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The location was excellent, everything was very clean, and the staff kept the property in great condition. We really appreciated that aspect of our experience.
However, there are two very important details that I believe should be much more clearly disclosed, especially for American travelers who may have different expectations.
First, the rooms do not have air conditioning. The listing only mentions that fans are provided, but in our room there was just one fan for eight people. Since we visited during a summer heat wave, this made a significant difference in our comfort. I completely understand that many historic properties in Europe do not have air conditioning, but this should be clearly stated in the listing so guests know exactly what to expect before booking.
Second, the property does not have an elevator, and this was never mentioned in the description. I was traveling with my parents, who are both over 80 years old, and we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. Again, I understand that older buildings often cannot accommodate elevators, but this is essential information for anyone traveling with elderly family members, mobility limitations, or heavy luggage.
I would still recommend this property because of its excellent location and cleanliness.
