Small, slightly cramped apartment in the middle of town. Little tricky to check in without wifi. Friendly concierge in building. Ordinarily you would look upon the main street from the balcony but we had construction and associated noise. Main suggestion for improvements are amenities (we didn't have tea, coffee facilities as per the photo, no soap in bathroom etc). They make a difference for weary travellers.

Very nice and clean hotel room close to many shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and of course the beach. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked really well. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and we had a loud neighbor that kept us up very late.

Good room with all the basics that you need. Aircondition worked great but was quite loud. They had a mini fridge which was nice. The place had a bice location close to everything.

The hotell has a nice location and is ok clean. Though the walls are paper thin and people were coming and going and making noice all night. Did not get any sleep. There is no reception so there was no one to talk to or get help from easily. Overall it is an ok place to crash for a night due to the good location.

The best part of Residenza Eleonora is the accessibility to the heart of Salerno. The location is the best. The train station and ferries are walking distance. The street below is a car-free zone and a pedestrian delight. Locals are out and about enjoying the cooler weather in the evening. Mornings, the older residents are out doing their shopping. So pleasant. The apartment itself shows wear on the walls and needs a little paint. The electric shades were awesome and worked well. The vintage building had neat features like wood details, marble steps and a small, interesting manual-door elevator. The most frustrating part about our stay was checking in. WhatsApp may be the best way to contact the host. But after calling (and getting hung up on), the hospitable doorman calling for us, contacting through Expedia, and then finally WhatsApp ( 3-4 different people in total), we finally got a set of two completely different codes. At least one set finally worked. Part of the problem may lie with us since we know only a little Italian, but there has to be a better way! Salerno and the friendliness of the people outweighed the frustrating first part of our visit. It was charming.

Camera centralissima a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria al quinto piano (con ascensore) di un palazzo residenziale. Check in rapido con codice di accesso alla struttura inviato via whatsapp. Camera senza particolari fronzoli ma con tutto il necessario per un comodo soggiorno. Pulizia quotidiana curata nei particolari. Unico piccolo neo un po' di cattivo odore in bagno, ma può essere stata una situazione momentanea

Vor Wochen erhielt ich ein Telefon, dass etwas mit der Kreditkarte nicht stimmt. Es dauerte über eine halbe Stunde, bis mir der Fehler erklärt werden konnte. 5 Tage (!!!!)vor dem Checkin erhielt ich wieder ein Telefon (kosten üner Fr. 50.--), dass es einen Wasserschaden in der Unterkunft gegeben habe, ich ich das Zimmer nicht beziehen könne. Es wurde mir eine alternative Unterkunft angeboten, das Checkin musste ich digital selber durchführen (Dauer < 1 Stunden, erhebliche Probleme). Ich erhielt auch eine Erklärung, wie der Zutritt zur Unterkunft zu erfolgen habe. Leider erhielt ich einen falschen Code für den Zutritt, glücklicherweise hatte wir eine HelpLine-Tel-Nr, die konnte uns weiterhelfen. Ich buche pro Jahr 10-20 Zimmer, aber so etwas ist mir noch nie passiert.......Ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen, dass die Behebung eines Wasserschadens mehr als 5 Tage beansprucht....
