Very good option if you want a less expensive hotel and are ok with no amenities. Very easy to get around on public transportation which we got
free with our room.
Very easy and straightforward check in process.
Check in was easy. Room was big, lovely and clean. Building was secure. Staff responded via whatsapp to a minor query I had very late at night which was resolved in minutes. Don't let other bad reviews put you off booking. We had an excellent stay.

Disliked: Amenities
Room, bed, shower comfortable and clean! A little bit too warm, the fans worked fine, but a times not enough, it was mid september, so we opened windows and it was fine then, to sleep we closed the windows, the traffic can be noisy, We got to use the coffee maker, water boiler and refrigerator, so good for that. Elevator is very very small: ok for two people with a carry on each, so it is busy. But we didn't have any problem with taking stairs. I'd have liked the entrance and stairs halls less dusty and with no cigarette butts. The no key system worked fine. Small markets close by. Overall, good for the price.
Really enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the location made it easy to reach the city center as well as nearby shops and restaurants. For the price, it’s a great deal.
Shops were: McDonalds near, Spar, also 5-7 min walk Billa in Supermarket
Property is clean. No contact to any personal. Code to property comes via message.
Everything safe.
We had an overall okay stay at Limehome Salzburg Sterneckstraße, though our experience started off on a rough note. After nearly 19 hours of travel from Canada, we arrived about 30 minutes after check-in time, only to find that we had not received the access codes for the building or our rooms. I had reserved three rooms. The team sent the code for one of them promptly once we reached out, but the room was still being cleaned, so we had to wait even longer. Not to mention that that second room was an additional 20 minutes wait so we couldn’t fully check in until around 16:00 o’clock.
There was also significant confusion surrounding our three bookings. We spent quite a bit of time clarifying the reservations and dealing with an unexpected guest-registration requirement for the third room, which was particularly stressful after such a long journey.
On the plus side, once we finally settled in, the apartments were spotless, modern, spacious, and exactly as pictured. Not having air conditioning during a heat wave was difficult, but the fans provided did help, and the team brought us an additional fan as soon as one became available.
Overall, if the check-in process had been smoother and the communication more organized, we would have had a much better experience. In the end, it very much felt like a “you get what you pay for” experience.

This is essentially a Airbnb-type property, not a real hotel. Nobody on site, but you can get in touch with remote staff via Whatsapp. Very clean, new, well-built. Room very spacious and comfortable. All equipment is high quality, new, fully functional. Some drawbacks: no human reception, if the electronic code not work -- what should one do? Also security concerns without any reception. No door locks to close from inside, no deadbolt, no latches. No safe box. No microwave to reheat any purchased food. No cooking facilities other than a coffee pot. No decent restaurants nearby (there is a MacDonald). Location: easy 25 min walk from the central train station and to the nearest tourist attractions. Otherwise it is a plain, unremarkable, safe neighborhood filled with large utilitarian stores, light industry and offices. Well priced compared to very expensive lodging in Salzburg.
The bulding is fairly close to downtown so walking is easy, ther are a lot of convenience stores around also a lot of restaurants, the place was really nice, very spacious and clean, and is self check in and it was easy.
The room was okay, but the property is poorly maintained. The trash can by the front door was full the entire time we were there, and there was a pair of men's underwear inside the front entrance that remained there the entire time. Also, there is no staff on site. We could not use our TV. I contacted the "staff" via WahtsApp and they said they were going to send someone to look at it, but they never did. When I had questions about getting a taxi they responded they were in another location and to Google the information. I will never stay there again.
