"3 Emails sent some in advance leading to my arrival, none answered. Menger Site, Facebook, and Hotels.com, and stopped by the desk to try to achieve the best room at the best rate I could for something potentially a bit more. Instead one read message not responded to, the other two no response and the desk when I arrived no help. Hotel is nice and a great historical beauty. The grounds were nice and kept well, pool was very nice , didn't seem heated so very chilly, valet was prompt courteous, helpful and speedy. Shops that rent on the outer parts of the hotel were nice and people nice there too. Great area to be convenient and price was very good. They claim to have a great rate with extra perks if booking through hotel and that was not the best deal and the one with the perk was significantly higher so they must really like their secondary market sellers better than giving the customer a deal. No receipt printed at check out due to bad printer and the promise of the emailed receipt never arrived. It was pay at the hotel and not convinced I was not overcharged. I may return but the ways to communicate with the hotel did fail miserably and if I had the time I would have called. The trip was enjoyable, but a room next to the elevator couldn't have been worse with the thin walls. The view was to a gravel roof with a stretch I could see the courtyard. Others parise them but for a hotel with this rating I feel the accomodations I asked and was will to pay and upcharge were ignored"
