"Whilst the infrastructure and location were classic Tuscany, the hospitality (staff engagement & food) were underwhelming. It never felt welcoming & it was challenging to discern who were the owners, staff or guests. It was often unclear how their systems operated, ie how to purchase wine/drinks, when dinner or breakfast would be available & the service was extremely slow. We stayed for 3 nights & ate dinner there each night (meal ~€50 pp) as had been tempted by the photos of gorgeous food when...

"Die Unterkunft an sich hat ein sehr schönen Blick. Es fällt leider im Zimmern Ausstattung wie Sessel oder kleiner Esstisch, dass man mindestens beim schlechten Wetter drinnen was isst. Das Restaurant war zu und der Kühlschrank war defekt. Heißt es Morgiger Kaffee oder Tee ist schwierig, da der nächste Ort paar Kilometer entfernt ist."

The host was very helpful in explaining that parking was available outside of the city and in explaining the ZTL zone. The breakfast was outstanding! "You need to read this because it’s true about many of the rooms that are being sold on Expedia for Italy. The rooms are not easy. Parking is more of a you figure it out situation. finding the room or the bed-and-breakfast is not necessarily easy. You will be carrying all your luggage yourself some distances. You will be caring all of your bags up several flights of stairs. It’s physically demanding to get to these places and to get your bags in and out of these places. Typically there is not...

"La Chiusa is beautiful, staff are very nice and the location fantastic; views from the property and situated next to Montifollonico with access to grocery store, pharmacy and super local restaurant (13 Gobbi). Rooms had a fridge but no kettle, coffee maker or even cups or glasses which was odd and would make a big positive difference so that you can make a hot drink or sip your own wine while enjoying the view! If you’re a foodie you will love the onsite restaurant, but it is a limited menu so...
