Great location for exploring city. Walking distance to beaches and old town. Lots of local places also for food and drink. Supermarket a few doors down also. Room clean and comfortable. Fridge in room. Rooms serviced daily. Would book again
This property was amazing. Value for money, has the loveliest staff I’ve had on all my travels - with good suggestions and a willing to help. The location was perfect for us, and for places a little far, it was easy to grab public transport near by.
Pension Kursal features no frills nice rooms that are very clean and walkable to restaurants, bakeries, the bus station and the old town. We arrived when there was staff to buzz us in - not sure how you arrange for the door code and room code if you arrive after 5 pm local time.
The Pension Kursaal is, as the name indicates, right across the road from the Kursaal and it is an easy walk to the old and new parts of San Sebastián or into Gros, the local neighbourhood. Rooms are compact and comfortable. Coffee (in the daytime) and tea can be made in the reception lobby. The lady at Reception gave us some good tips on things to do and places to eat.
The most friendly, ultra helpful staff of our 5 week trip through Europe (sorry, I can’t remember how to spell her name but it was something like Leidie). Fabulous location, near a beach and just a quick stroll across the bridge into Old Town and the rest of the city.
The location is excellent. Close to Old Town, but just enough away from the hustle and bustle. The staff work very hard to help you. A bit spartan, but perfect if you don’t spend much time in your room.
Our room was very comfortable. Great bed, towels, linens and so forth. Staff very helpful. Just a short walk across the bridge and you are in the heart of Old Town San Sebastian. Gros was fun too. The worst part was parking the car. It is confusing when you first get there because your GPS wants to take you to the hotel, but you have to pass it and drive a ways and then make a U-turn back to the parking. Once you get into the parking lot, it is very easy to get to the hotel. Even though it is on a busy corner, the room was very dark and quiet. We had a perfect experience. Oh...the lobby is up one floor when you arrive and the old elevator DOES work so don't carry your luggage up the stairs :-)
We liked that it felt comfortable not like a hotel with no atmosphere. They gave us some nice advice for things we can do for free. We didn’t know the museum is free every Tuesday. They recommended a restaurant because w couldn’t make up our mind and the food was good so good we went the next night. Great stay
Great location for the beach and the City, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to choose from. Room was adequate, clean and compact. Natural day light would be be much nicer. Parking prices were more than the email sent by the Hotel, which was disappointing. But overall a good place to stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I was disappointed that I had paid extra for a room with a city view, but there was scaffolding outside my window with plastic around it so i did not have a view at all. I would have expected a refund on the extra money paid!!
Staff were very polite and knowledgeable though.
Clean place, comfortable beds. Great location. It exceeded my expectations and I can recommend this place if you want a clean and comfortable place without paying the price for a fancy hotel.
Great location, easy walking distance to all areas. Area felt safe around the hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Personally the only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room as these are only available in the reception area.
Hotel is in a great location in San Sebastian. A 5 minute walk into the old city with all the attractions and bus transport. Also just down the street from hotel are many restaurants. Staff, particularly Leire, very helpful and extremely nice. Great place to stay in San Sebastian.
Excellent staff and very comfortable rooms. It is in old building but very modern rooms. Will stay there again anytime I am in San Sebastián. Thanks you.
This property had a really easy check in process using a key code. We came late due to train delays and found the staff very friendly and easy to message with.
The bed was very comfortable with good pillows and blankets.
It was a short walk from the train station and in a great location for food and exploring.
Easy location, great parking across street at reduced rate. You can walk to all sites from hotel no need to drive. Free coffee in reception. Super safe also
