Management and staff were great! Really made us feel welcome. Particularly, Margot (Assistant Mngr). It was a peaceful, restful stay. It was nice to disconnect from our busy life for a couple of days. So much more enjoyable than if we would have stayed in a hotel as we were able to enjoy the outdoors with comfort.

I like the vibe huttopia is going for and it’s an absolute family friendly gem, however our hit carpet was extremely dirty, the door didn’t close off completely which let inall the bugs overnight , our tent also had an area the zipper was completely broken which gave more room for allCreatures to comeIn. I stuffed it with a towel to make due . The lighting paths could be better to the huts at night. Love the vibe and what they tried to do , but we will not be going back.

The description was spot on! Our camping area was exactly as we expected, it was fully stocked with all your kitchen needs. Helpful and friendly staff, lots to do with the family. We plan to visit the other locations as well. A wonderful 3 night trip for our family.

I have stayed here several times. It’s a great way to camp without all the fuss. You feel like you’re enjoying nature without having to pack a bunch of essentials. We stayed in a king bedroom with shower and bathroom. Everything you need is there and it’s close to grocery stores. The pond is wonderful. Lately we have been going in either beginning of June or beginning of September however because the costs have definitely increased. It’s really expensive to stay peak season which is my only complaint

Parents Getaway

Huttopia Southern Maine is a beautiful, peaceful destination. My husband and I stayed in the Trappeur Duo Queen. It was comfortable, clean (pristine!), and super cute. We brought some food to cook on the grill, which included one stovetop burner, making it convenient to cook eggs or other food in the skillet. We also tried the on site restaurant for a crepe and sandwich for lunch and pizza for dinner - which was all tasty! We purchased firewood at reception and brought our own s’mores supplies (though you could buy a s’mores kit on site. We did yoga on Saturday morning on the pond (free, and highly recommend!). And we paid to rent paddle boards for the pond ($12 each for one hour). We would definitely visit again, and would bring our 2-year-old after seeing how kid-friendly it was.

Amazing, but could have more empathy

The location is amazing. The tents are comfortable and well equipped. The lake, pristine.The facilities, well maintained. The vibe, unique. What was weird to me is that I booked two tents, and asked to place them together, or at least close. They did. But charged $59.95 just to do it. $59.95 PER TENT (total $ 119). Detail: ON the place we stayed, we were practically the only guests.

Like camping but with all you need to make it more comfortable, bed shower. toilet, fire pit, gas gril, refrigerator , patio with bistro table and couches. We were pleasantly surprised by Huttopia. Tents are clean, staff is incredibly nice. We were out in tent #34 which is only a 5 minute walk to the lodge but it’s the furthest edge of the property and a bit isolated. If you prefer that, then I recommend this tent since it faces the woods and it’s very private. If you can book early to get a waterfront tent or house (more money) do it. There is a pond and pool which are both well maintained. In the lodge is a bar and light fare. Menu is limited but what they make is done quite well. Do yourself a favor and do NOT book on Expedia, book directly with the property since the price will be better. We found the property via Condé Nast and it suggested booking on Expedia. Highly recommend Huttopia. You will not be disappointed.

It was relaxing! What we loved was that we really got to enjoy our time at our own lesiure. Nothing ever felt crowded as there were different things to do. We loved that there were kid activities. Some may complain that there is not enough food choices but it is glamping so in my opinion there was plenty of choices as the experience should also be cooking on your own over the fire or grill! We did treat ourselves to not cooking the morning we left and the wait for crepes was 1 hour. While staying at the site the electricity went out and they ran out of water but both were resolved quickly. We did not enjoy having to carry all our things from the parking lot while seeing others sneaknthere cars to closer areas. I guess that is what ee get for being rule followerd. Also the tents are extremely close to each other so privacy is limited.
