Our room was beautiful and spacious with garden view, bed was very confortable, bathroom has everything you need including robes. Due to the weather we didn’t enjoy propriety grounds much, there are many restaurants nearby, and walking to Santiago de Compostela Cathedral was easy and beautiful.

Great property close to the Cathedral but not on the noisy areas
Overall, a tired property. Exceptionally hot in the hallways. Mold in the bathroom. A broken electrical outlet that did not recharge our phones. It was not worth the money.
Absolutely stunning hotel in great location in an old convent . Great room, swimming pool, garden and restaurants. Delightful breakfast buffet with local cuisine included in the price. What a nice surprise. Courteous staff. Recommend to every one !
Lovely hotel located very central. Staff were very professional and friendly. Rooms nice, quiet and cleaned daily. Only negative would be the pool was closed during our stay.
Beautiful property in the heart of Santiago. All staff were so very helpful. We loved our room with the view of the cathedral and a bonus full moon. Food was great in the bar/cafe. Couldn’t have been better.
Very nice place with helpful and friendly staff. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the historic district. We didn't bother with the breakfast which did seem expensive. But a very nice hotel and highly recommend.
It was a beautiful, historical location. The decir is simple but comfortable. The location is well situated and accessible to the center if historic city.
The hotel director left us a wonderful welcome letter, explaining the history of the hotel. Along with the letter we received a wonderful small “Tarta De Santiago,” the hotel’s special version of the local specialty. The staff is friendly and helpful with any request. The restaurant had a nice buffet breakfast. The dinner menu could use some daily variations.
It is a 5 stars hotel with excellent frontdesk staff. Friendly with welcoming smile.
It is about 10 minutes walk from the cathedral which is not too bad as you will not have to worry about loud music that can happen some nights in the main square

Very disappointing stay, Hotel did not respond to requests made by Expedia, room allocated when arrived opposite from what I asked for and request to meet Manager to discuss never fulfilled. They did manage to wake us up later to offer a different room but too disoriented then to progress further. Dog mess reported in underground garage was not cleared up in 2 nights we stayed. Room was dated. A points Hotel aimed at high turnover guests not at all in keeping with its grand name (or pricing).
Es un hotel muy bien ubicado con muy servicios de primera y gente muy amable en todas sus areas

We didn’t enjoy our stay !
Positive : nice and friendly staff, nice view from the room.
Negative: room too noisy, couldn’t sleep at all. Anyone walking in the corridor could be heared in the room, and even from other room can be heared very loudly. No 24hours room service, it’s not a five star hotel standard at all. Maybe good 4 star.
Very nice hotel located in a very quiet part of town but less than 10 minute walk from Plaza de Obradoiro.
Attentive staff, not overly friendly but correct. Spacious room, nicely decorated, comfortable with sizeable bathroom. Overall a nice experience.
I wished they would have been a bit more helpful when i asked for restaurant reservations. I would expect a concierge or staff to take care of that at a 5 star hotel. They simply provided some names.
Very nice. It’s just that they call themselves a 5-star hotel and it’s not. Good value though. Somehow, the decrepit furniture in the garden lounge gave us the impression that management doesn’t care. If you are driving, parking is very convenient and it’s only about a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral. We enjoyed going to dinner in modern Santiago which is very vibrant (take a taxi).
The location of Hotel Palacio del Carmen was so convenient for us. It was a short distance to the Pilgrim's Office and the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Bravo!
