This is the second time we’ve stayed here after our Camino. It is close to all amenities and only a short walk to the Cathedral. We did have some issues with our room this time as the AC for the building was not on and our room was 27C. The staff that evening was helpful and did some troubleshooting. And when that did not work staff did change our room to a cooler room with cross breeze. Not everything always goes as planned but it is in those moments staff can make a difference and they absolutely did. That goes a long way. We will be back.
Very convenient, simple, clean room in the center of Santiago de Compostela. I arrived before check-in and left my luggage with the front desk staff while I went out. Then I got my key a little early once the room was ready. It was a good experience.
I check in the afternoon and the men are working on the floor that I was in. I didnot know they are renovating the hotel. I’m so tired I need my rest but could not bec they are pounding on the wall. I asked them what time they would be finished, they replied at 7 pm. I just went out to eat and relax at Burger King. If I have known that they are renovating, I could have reserve to another hotel.
Great location, clean room, comfortable bed, good wifi, and pleasant staff. My si ngle room was tiny but had everything i needed. Breakfast 8 euro was limited. Very noisy! Noise from elevator, room next door, plumbing noises, and hallway. Reasonable rate.
Excellent location, many restaurants nearby, and easy to reach the main attractions such as the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The bus for most excursions is taken in front of the Hotel Universal. Breakfast is a basic one that helps mainly in the mornings when you have to leave quickly for the excursions, and you cannot take long. The staff are very cooperative and helpful.
Excellent location ,very close to Santiago di compostela. Underground parking immediately across the street. Small room, basic breakfast. Fine for basic lodging. Beds slightly uncomfortable for me.
Very small elevators
The hotel locates very close to the Santiago Basilica as well as the train station, within walking distance which was great for us. Very clean hotel and everything was comfortable. The staff did not communicate in English well but they were kind and very helpful as best they could. We would stay there again if we visited the Santiago de Compostela again.
We had to change our room due to ventilation problems .The lady at the desk was very nice and responsive and gave us a room that was larger and more comfortable.
Very happy 😃
Modern amenities,Professional Friendly staff check in prompt.Served our needs of closeness to Santiago De Compostella for a one day stay. Breakfast options were very nice. Southern California guests.

Very friendly and helpful reception during our 2 day stay. Perfect location between old and new towns. Carpark at reasonable rate opposite hotel.
Needed a place to stay for a couple of days following my Camino that didn’t break the bank, and this was the ideal place for my budget. Comfortable, great location and helpful staff. Easy walk to old town, the Cathedral area and other shopping areas and though it is located in a city center area, the windows are quite soundproof at night but can be opened when you want to enjoy the airflow and sounds of the city. The view over a small park with big trees was very pleasant.
Amazing location, not far from bus/metro station and just outside the old town. Within walking distance of the cathedral, market and many amazing restaurants.
I’d skip the in-hotel breakfast and hit up the bakery just around the corner Pastelería Miguez, or any bakery in the old town!
