I had reservations for 2-3 days at Oxford Suites in Santiago de Compostela with confirmation number and everything, all done online. When we arrived there by airport taxi around 9pm, all lights were out, no one was staying at the property, no info on door, I called the phone number I had numerous times but no one answered so we had the taxidriver take us to another hotel. However, in the days that follwed I saw that the hotel managed to charge my credit card for the full amount (all the days we were supposed to stay there). I disputed this charge with my credit card company, I had proof that I was taken there and the hotel was closed and I had proof of the numerous calls I made to them. My credit car company said the Oxford Hotel never contacted them regarding my dispute therefore my credit card company reimbursed me for these charges.
