"Each of the four suites are beautifully designed and decorated—maintaining the original structure of each space. Staff are courteous and friendly and helpful in places to go and visit as well as restaurant recommendations and reservations.
The bed is very comfortable with luxurious linens. Plenty of delicious food and juice choices for breakfast and the best cappuccino!

"We absolutely loved our stay of 4 nights at Thymus! Incredibly clean and so cool to stay inside a cave. Breakfast outside while looking at the hills of matera will never be forgotten. Well worth every penny!"

"It may not be a surprise to most, but we booked this hotel specifically because of the underground pool. We were very excited to use it. However, we then realized our teenage sons couldn't use it (18+ only) and it also costs and additional 25,00 a person to use.
I don't blame the company as everything is in the fine print and we just didn't see it.
But make sure if you're a family you know these things."

"Excellent hotel, we stayed in one of the suites. The room was stunning, there are a few quirks to being set in a cave, but it’s part of the experience. Perfect location, the hotel is close walking distance to lots of excellent restaurants yet far enough away to avoid most of the foot traffic. Staff are very friendly, and helpful. When visiting Matera again I will 100% return here. 10 out of 10"
