A lovely ten-minute walk into town, you cross another bridge that offers a spectacular view the river. "This hotel in the Douro Valley was a complete surprise-breathtaking scenery all around with walking access to the vineyards. It had a beautiful chapel onsite and indoor sauna and steam room as well as small indoor and outdoor rooftop pools. Amazing!"

"Puro Dao is one of my best hotel and spa experiences. To start with the location; It is located in the outskirts of a charming village in the countryside. There is a station 2 minutes away so you don’t need a car to get there. Once you inside you fell relaxed and very welcome by the lovely staff. Everything is perfect from the different climate smart light to the materials and over to the furnitures and interior design. The Spa is amazing and so is the outdoor pool in the garden. The nature surrounding the village is great for hiking and there is different hiking trails. After the hike I recommend a treatment in the spa, I got a hot stone massage which was heaven. Finally, don’t miss the great local wines and food in the restaurant, or the breakfast. "
