21C Museum Hotel St Louis
8/10 Good
"Stayed at 21c and honestly… this place is cool. If you love art, this is your spot. Everywhere you turn there’s something interesting to look at, and it really sets a vibe you don’t get at a typical hotel. The pool was also a highlight, such a unique and relaxing space to unwind.
That said, service was our only real frustration. Our room didn’t get serviced the first day, and we had to call to make sure it would be done the next day. Even then, it didn’t happen until the afternoon. The hotel was at full capacity, and you could tell the staff was exhausted and stretched thin, so it felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care.
Location-wise, it’s great if you’re planning a trip to the City Museum since it’s within walking distance. Just know there aren’t a ton of restaurant options right around the hotel, so you may need to plan ahead or Uber/drive for more variety.
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and would come back for the atmosphere alone, just hoping service is a bit smoother next time."

"Rooms are clean but small. A rollaway is an extra $25."

Marriott St. Louis Grand

"Staff was good, room was ok, but the snacks and drinks were over priced."

Hilton Pennywell St. Louis at the Arch
10/10 Excellent
"I want to take a moment to recognize Rahma at the front desk—her customer service was exceptional. When we arrived, the room we reserved with two beds was not available, and only a king room remained. We were on a tight schedule for a concert and needed to get ready quickly, so waiting wasn’t really an option.
Rahma immediately stepped in with solutions. She offered a rollaway bed and, more importantly, went above and beyond by offering to comp our dinner to make up for the inconvenience. That level of attentiveness and care made a stressful moment feel completely manageable. That’s what true customer service looks like.
I’ve stayed at the Hilton Pennywell in St. Louis multiple times, and experiences like this are exactly why I keep coming back. The location is great, the bar is always a go-to spot for us, and the food is consistently delicious.
I also want to acknowledge the bar staff. The young woman serving us was clearly very busy but still did her best to stay attentive, and the gentleman who delivered our food was kind and professional. Together, they made our experience even better.
Overall, this team made a lasting impression. The Hilton Pennywell has become my go-to hotel whenever I’m in St. Louis.

Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch
6/10 Okay
"The property was nice but dated. There were not enough outlets, sink faucet not attached, awful room spray, only 1 of 4 elevators working with a very busy hotel makes for 10+ minute waits. QR codes on the room menus did not work so it was difficult to order food or even know what was offered. Plenty of staff and those interacted with were very kind. "

Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch
10/10 Excellent
"Perfection in every way. Breakfast was amazing. The soda machine was a game changer!! Breakfast tables were always clean (cleaned in between families). From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our hotel room was clean. The pool and hot tub space was amazing. My kids loved it! Drury Inn has raised my hotel expectations! We will return! "

St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton
6/10 Okay
"Welcomes pets but toilet was not cleaned thoroughly and the room had a light odor that was not pleasant. The refrigerator in the room did not work so my beverages never got cold. However, the staff was super welcoming, friendly and professional. Also, parking was horrible and far and to top it off I had to pay $44 per day for SELF PARKING. I will not be staying here again."

Magnolia Hotel St. Louis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"Everything was great but parking was $120 for two nights :( "

Hampton Inn St. Louis-Downtown (At the Gateway Arch)
6/10 Okay
"The elevator was a nightmare. That must get fixed. We should have been given a refund. Had to carry all our luggage up and down the emergency stairs. The parking was also full when we paid $30. The breakfast was all picked over and didn't have much to offer. "
