Very helpful staff - ideal for travellers

The staff were super helpful. We arrived early after an overnight flight and they helped us get an early check in. The restaurant on the 27th floor for breakfast is spectacular and the choice of food is extensive and good quality.

I had an excellent stay at this Shanghai Holiday Inn! The location is great as it’s near the subway station and a mall, which were convenient since I could get around the city as well as have a lot of shopping and dining options. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive by always checking whether we needed anything, and the service was quick and reliable. The room had a nice view of the city, was decently spacious, clean, and organized. The front desk workers Mr. Zhang and his co-worker were helpful during our time there, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book in this area!

The hotel is in an excellent location- opposite a mall and a subway station, and close to the shuttle bus I can take to return to work on Monday. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable, with soft and firm pillows. I will probably book another weekend there soon for when I want a break from Fengxian, where I am presently located.

Nice staff.

Spacious room & bed was comfortable, the view was ok. The shower was also ok and I had everything I needed. I was impressed by the speed of maintenance staff as they arrived within 4 mins even at night to fix a plug socket.

Cold, No English, no international Visa/MC accepte

Arrived, it was zero degrees out. Lobby did not turn heat on. unbearable to use the lobby bar, restaurants, wait for taxi etc. I went to 4 restaurants on the property, none of the hostesses could speak English or understand the word "menu" Finally settled on a Japanese restaurant on the ground floor because they had pictures I could point to. Had to wear my winter jacket while eating mind you. Went to pay, cannot put the bill on the room. Gave them Mastercard, doesn't work. Visa, doesn't work. Only Chinese Visa /MC accepted, or alipay. They told me to go to ATM and get cash. I booked through Hotels.com, and added breakfast for 4 nights. Went to get breakfast, they did not have any record of me paying already. - At least they accepted my card this time . While eating, I was able to find my receipt - in English, which included breakfast. - they could not understand it. I had to go down to the lobby and talk with reception -they only people that I could communicate with. -- They called teh restaurant on the top floor, I had to back up to them to reverse the charges. For an international chain, it wasn't very international.

I paid for my room for a week and ended up in the hospital for 3 days. when I came back they rented my room out and said it was because house cleaning went in 2 days in a row and it didn’t need cleaning so they checked me out . When I came back they gave me another room that had a clogged shower with overflowed all over the place. I stayed 3 nights and was charged for 8 .
