It is a nice property with outstanding views of the port. The bedroom was clean, comfortable, and ample for Japan standards. The staff is courteous and the pristine shared kitchen works well. In case you aren’t driving, note that it isn’t quite walking distance from downtown. Btw the GPS took me to a wrong address, by the port; actually the hotel is at the top of the hill. I totally recommend it.

Walls are thin. If you stay on the same floor with family with kids, then you can and will hear small children scream, cry or run throughout the nights. Not hotel’s fault but you cant escape those noisy issues.

Lovely shared spaces (living room, cooking area, onsen) at this hotel. In walking distance to good restaurants for dinner. Was glad to have some groceries since there was not much to eat for breakfast in town.

Utoro “ hostel”
The hotel is on top of a hill and overlooks the harbor. Utoro is not a pretty place but the hotel is operated like a hostel with cooking facilities on the 1st level. Room was spacey but did not have a bathroom. Tge “onzen” on the 1st level had to be used.

Great location, super view, but a bit noisy.
Comfortable room with a wonderful view of the port area. Not as quiet as I would have liked (the people above me were noisy, and when a room next door turned on their water, you could hear it loudly). Fortunately everything went quiet after 10pm. Sleeping late is not really possible, as when all those guests wake up the next morning, all the noise resumes. If you’re getting up reasonably early anyway, it’s not that big of a deal. Still, after so many nights in other properties that were dead silent, this was a bit disappointing.

We stayed one night. The advertised breakfast and restaurant was not available/closed. The hotel is very dated. The room and onsen were clean and tidy. There was only one visible member of staff, who was pleasant, but the place felt deserted. It has a decent view.

Pleasant hotel with a nice view of town and sea
Room was clean and cosy. No bathrooms in room; only an onsen on the ground floor. Have to pay for entrance into onsen which was stupid since it's the only place for guests to bathe at - in other words, unavoidable extra expenses. Otherwise it was a pleasant enough stay, especially with the view and the breeze coming in through the Windows.

Nice hotel on a hill
Room was generally clean. hotel is located up a hill which is no issue if u drive. Wifi works well. Onsen is clean. Room is large and offers view of sunset.

Great view of the sea
This hotel was located at the mid of the hill. There should be transportation available if you need it otherwise driving will be quite suitable. We booked the Japanese style room and the view to the sea was superb. There is a bathroom in the room. However showering/ bathing we got to go to public bath. In the public bath there is both indoor and outdoor for ladies.

Great view of the sunset
The room we rented (twin beds, run of the house) was spacious and nice. It afforded a great view of the pier and the sunset! The only disadvantage was that there was no private or shared bathroom - there was only an onsen. The onsen also had a great view of the sunset, but is a public one and can't be locked. Depends on whether you like that!

名前の通り、部屋の窓から目渡せる海の夕陽はとてもきれいで、知床クルージングが出るウトロ港も近くロケーションも良いと思います。お部屋も清潔で、フロントの方も親切でとても良かったです。夕食は徒歩5分で行ける食事処潮風おススメです。

一泊２万６千円のユースホステル
素泊まり２名一泊で26,000円は全くぼったくり。布団は自分で引いて下さい。ソファーはありません。部屋にバスはもちろんシャワーもありません。浴衣が使いたければ500円です。食事つきの場合は他の施設に徒歩１０分です。まるでユースホステル。一泊一人、4,000円でなければ納得できないレベル。

知床のオシャレであたたかいホテルです。
景色も建物もとても素敵でなホテルです。共同のキッチンが付いています。外国の方が多いですが、皆さんキレイにお使いで、快適に過ごすことができました。和室に泊まりましたが、とても良いお部屋でした。温泉は小さめ、ぬるめでしたが、北こぶしグループの他の豪華な温泉に入れますので、大満足です。また、滞在中に少しアクシデントがあったのですが、スタッフの方たちがとてもあたたかく、良い方ばかりでした。また、必ず訪れます。

Bon rapport qualité/prix pour Utoro
Le fonctionnement du groupe de 3 hôtels à Utoro est difficile à comprendre, même pour un japanophone. Mais l'accès aux 3 bains différents, un pour chaque hôtel et la localisation de cette "auberge de jeunesse" (c'est l'accueil qui le dit) sont des points très positifs.

夕陽がとても綺麗でした
2018年9月に二泊しました。 2018年6月にリニューアルオープンしたということで、とても清潔でお洒落なホステルでした。部屋からはオホーツク海が窓いっぱいに見え、夕陽の沈む眺めはとても美しかったです。 今回泊まった部屋にはシャワーがありませんでしたが、源泉かけ流しの大浴場がとても気持ちよかったので満足しています。夜中じゅう入れますが、朝入るとまたここからもオーシャンビューを眺めることができてお勧めです。ちなみに北こぶしホテルと同じグループらしく、北こぶしホテルでの日帰り温泉が無料でした。 スタッフの方々も会うと必ず挨拶をして下さり、とても雰囲気がよかったです。 次にまた知床へ旅行する際にはぜひ泊まりたいと思います。ありがとうございました。
