I gad difficulty with the room temperature and staff dealt eith ut whike I was at dinner. They took a photo of the remote and labelled it in English for me. The food is the highlight! It is a fixed menu full of drlightes each evening. There was miscommunication about my dietary requirements on the first night and chef made me a different...

An absolute gem.
We loved the whole experience. Great little bar area where you can eat your own food & drink, & play cards at night
We had the room on the first floor. Amazing views over the pagoda, town & bridge in the distance.
Staff were fantastic- really helpful.
We cooked a simple spaghetti meal, but bought breakfast in the morning.
Lovely little garden & patio.
Showers were great & soap provided.
Washing machine available.
If you're travelling on the Shinkansen, just to note it arrives in...

The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He informed us that we had timed our stay perfectly because exclusively for one night only, the longest bridge in Japan would light up in celebration for Golden Week. Indeed it happened and we had a great view from our Japanese style room.

This hotel was well located next to the Biken centre. Staff were very polite and caring. Super spacious room and lovely bathroom. The Shinkansen was a 20 minute taxi ride away.

All good bar the hotel guests having to check themselves in a computerised check machines.
This merely confuses, delays and annoys customers in equal measure.
Big rooms for a single Japanese hotel. Well thought. Good breakast.
Easy to find from the JR station.

A very nice hotel at a very fair price. We did make an error in not checking the location. It is about 30 minutes out of central Kurashiki. This required a local train which runs every 30 mins or so. There were some restaurants close by and we both enjoyed the Onsen baths. So swings and roundabouts but enjoyed our stay.

A well-run business hotel with an onsite cafe where the breakfast is served. The single room was small, but I had a view of the castle in the distance. The breakfast was good. You can choose different types of pillows, and there is free coffee in the lobby. 3 minutes from the train station, plenty of restaurants nearby.
