"we chose this hotel because it had a swimming pool which was excellent. Our room was well maintained. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the bar the food was good. Breakfast was plentiful. Will definitely stay these again"

"Definitely not a 4 star property. It was decent but not great. It is the only place I've ever stayed where the wifi signal doesn't even reach the 2nd floor - we couldn't use it at all. The floor squeaked and creaked with every step. I understand that it's an older building but it wasn't ideal."

"I was in Newcastle to visit my niece, who is at university here. This hotel is incredible value for money. Location is great, room has everything you need and the bed is so comfy! Shower was powerful, everything very clean. One bedroom wall had scuffed paint, and I would have liked a cup or glass in the room for water at night, but none of this affected my stay.
