"This property was unique as it had an indoor pool, jacuzzi and even a snack shop that also contained useful supplies when away from home. Bonus points! However, there were not enough towels in our room or extra linens of any sort, so we needed to request more. That process was lacking, our phone did not work in the room there were no labels or information to how to reach the front desk. I walked out to the lobby where there was nobody attending to requests or checking. I had to pick up a phone...

"The room was a little dated but clean. Hotel is conveniently located near various restaurants. Nice indoor pool for relaxing. Very quiet stay."

"Wake up call at 5:30am the first day was the hotel operator yelling and berating a guest for accessing the open (not a closed room) breakfast area. (We were on a different floor.) Breakfast area had no prepared hot food at all. Dry cereal, had to ask for milk, waffle machine, and white bread for toast. My young gdau visited and we went to the pool area. Hotel operator arrived about 5 minutes later and taped a notice to the door there would be a $50 fine assessed to the room if visitors were...

"Great place to stay. I wish the lake was more fishing friendly with more species of fish."

"This is an older motel but they do their best to keep it clean and comfortable. If you don't mind the older part, it is a great value. If you don't like older, you probably should stay at one of the more recent motels."

"The complementary breakfast at the Sholow Day’s Inn Cafe is very good. The Day’s Inn front desk workers are extremely friendly and helpful."

"Room 111 smelled so terrible we tried to air it out by leaving the door open and blasting the AC . Didn’t help at all. We checked in so late and being on the road all day we didn’t want to try and argue about the room or go look for another place to stay. We just made do for the remaining early morning by sleeping. Mention to the guy at the desk the problems and left it at that."

"Traffic noise is absolutely horrible and the pool lights are shining directly into the room. We asked if there was a different room but was told, "no"; so much for paying for a suite. Plus a trash bag of garbage had been sitting out for 24 hours from an adjoining room and housekeeping did nothing. Not was I am used to with a Marriott Hotel, this was totally below standards."

"One of our room still had Taco Bell I. It and the coffee maker still had the previous pod still in it"

"Room was clean and had many many placed to plug in accessories. But the room was dark."

"Our room was clean and appeared to be updated. Everything was well cared for, the front and breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was fresh, with a variety of foods. Parking was easy. I would highly recommend The Holiday Inn Express. It’s excellent! "
