"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money...

"The hotel has a nice restaurant and a bar. They service delicious meals with nice ambient. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Generally the hotel is clean and practical. The down side is the design & condition was rundown. The corridors were dark and overall having spooky feelings. The location is just right, 5 mins walk to town and not as busy/noisy comparing to city center. Only issue is they are charging quite expensively for parking."

It has a wonderful view and easy access to all of Cortina. All of the facilities -- including the spa -- are first rate. The room has everything a modern high-end hotel supports (including black out roller shades). But it was the staff. Yes, they were friendly and helpful but it was much more.
