What every hotel staff should aspire toward!

I was delayed in my business trip to Vietnam and extended my stay in Singapore at the Regent hotel. The food and amenities are quite notable, but the positive attitude and kindness of the staff are the key areas that set everything over the top. Excellent treatment by the front desk staff. They truly went above and beyond to provide a quality stay.

The Regent is one of the best hotel that I've stay at in Singapore. The staff, I mean the whole Hotel staff were outstanding and all true professionals. Very clean, spacious, well provided amenities and water. The only minor suggestion is to improve the shower. The knob to choose the water output was not functioning properly. Water came out from both the top and the shower handle. Other than that, our stay was perfect. Would definitely come back here again.

Stayed with my family for 5 nights. Good experience overall - the staff was helpful. We were initially booked for 4 nights and extended our stay for one more night. For extension, we spoke with one of the staff members in the morning and got a bizarre response that he was not sure about room availability and asked us to check Expedia. I checked again in the evening with another staff member and he helped us out by extending our stay for another night without any issues. Except for this, our experience at the hotel was good. Would recommend this hotel.

Overall everything is quite dated: furniture, bathroom is still using shower curtain. The ceiling in the room has some black moulds. The whole hotel needs to be renovated and upgraded. At its rate, it is not value for money.

Both the room and the service at the Regent was exceptional. The in house gym was also excellent despite the pool being a little smaller than expected. Manhattan bar, voted as one of the top 50 bars in the world is also located within the restaurant and my friends and I had a great experience there. Breakfast is a little pricey at $45 pp, but there are many local cafes that you can go to if you don’t wish to spend that much on breakfast. One thing I would say however is that, although manageable, commuting to the station via walking may be a little long for some people in the Singapore heat. It took us about 8-10 minutes to get to orchard road and another 8 or so to get to orchard station. Overall an excellent experience and I would gladly return.

First, I'd like to point out that the staff was very kind and very helpful. The location is OK relative to the Orchard shopping centers. You can walk to Ion Orchard, Tangs, etc., but it's not super close—consider the humidity and temperature. But Grab rides are easy to get and relatively affordable. The building, particularly the room we stayed in, is due for renovation.Yes, the room is clean, but everything is old. Very old. The bathroom still has shower curtains. You can see the aging in the marble floor, the scuffs on the bathtub floor, the nicks and paint touchups on door surfaces, hinges, the old fixtures, etc. Coffee in the room is instant coffee in packets. Overall, it was an OK stay for us.
