There is also a convenient downstairs living area with TV next to the kitchen. It meant the family could spend more time together being in close proximity. "10/10 would come back here in a heart beat. The staff is amazing and the food is great with plenty of options. The best part was having access to the property after checkout. Our flight wasn’t until 9 pm so we got to hang out poolside all day and shower after which was completely unexpected and the cherry on top of a fantastic experience here."

"What a superb experience. Although a 1970s hotel, it has every high quality amenity with modern clean finish, excellent dining, and the staff are above and beyond. The hotel organized a private dinner reception for our far flung extended family by the pool and it was a huge success. Great food, interesting cocktails, great staff. Oh and there's a funicular that takes you down to the beach - how fun is that - with beach chairs and staff ready to serve you. Wonderful time."

"It is a beautiful setting. The hotel is relatively small but the villas are nicely placed and the pool and bar areas are very nice. The sea is very pleasant with a fine rocky almost sandy beach easily accessible. Sun loungers on the beach are not available but there are enough sun loungers in the surrounding spaces with a sea view so that is OK. There were no water sports eg kayaking available although the hotel next door has a couple of paddleboards you can hire. The sea swimming area is pretty and warm, fine for most but if you like a bigger sea swim you do end up in boat lane traffic after 50 to 100 metres. Very relaxing. Great breakfast and food if a little pricey. Local village is very sweet and renting a boat there is easy. No massage or spa. No real activities to speak of. Very hilly site. But if you just want somewhere clean relaxing with a nice pool, a good view and easy access to the sea, it hits the spot."

"A well managed 4-star hotel with beautiful pool and nicely decorated/ clean/ modern room. Breakfast was excellent. We only stayed 1 night after we landed at the airport last in the evening but the location was very practical with an easy bus ride into old town the next day onto our resort. "We stayed at the Marbella Collection for 6 days with our two young daughters and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the whole experience felt effortless and when you’re travelling with little ones, that means everything. The location is stunning, the beach and pools were the highlight of each day for the girls and felt safe and manageable for families. The food was a real highlight too; great quality and variety throughout, the dining experience genuinely added to the holiday. What really set this apart was how family-friendly it felt without being exclusively a “kids’ hotel.” Our daughters were catered for brilliantly while my husband and I still felt like we were having a proper holiday. The rooms were spacious and comfortable for a family of four, and the staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout. A special mention to two team members who truly stood out. Lydia at reception was warm, kind and genuinely welcoming from the very first interaction and went above and beyond to help make my husband’s birthday special — doing so with such grace it felt truly personal. Aurora was equally brilliant; so patient and kind in answering all my questions about the resort. These two are a real credit to the Marbella Collection. An easy five stars. Highly recommended"
