The room was clean, though the pool in the basement felt a bit small and crowded most of the time. Still, I appreciated that the hotel had another pool given that the pool at the roof deck was cold. What truly sets a hotel apart are the micro-details that show attentiveness to guests. For example, the water jug in the sauna/steam room was left empty for days—something as simple as keeping it filled signals that management cares about guest comfort. Small touches like this make a big difference.
The morning reception staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, which is especially important since many guests are new to the country and rely on the hotel as a temporary home. A welcoming reception instantly makes visitors feel safe and at ease in unfamiliar surroundings.
When I left early in the morning, the young receptionist kindly offered me coffee, which I appreciated, while I waited for my airport ride. It would have been an even nicer gesture if the staff had thanked me for staying, wished me a pleasant journey, and a safe flight. These seemingly small courtesies add up and make a stay far more memorable and meaningful.
