"The big pools are amazing. Food was good but not consistent, but we liked Tiki tacos the best. Entertainment shows could be better. Our stay was pleasant overall, thanks to all hard working employees at Riu. "

"Bathroom had hairs on the floor, the curtain rod was hanging up but loose due to missing about 8 screws. Ice was far down the hall. I was unable to book drinks go to my room even though I had prepaid deposit, we had to call the desk ourselves to get it straightened out. I had a discount card but was never told to present it before seating for breakfast buffet so we were told we couldn’t use it but in the end they would make an exception . We didn’t know this building was a time share/travel club so check in was delayed an confusing. "

"The resort was ver clean and the accommodations were amazing. Other than one meal that was just ok, we had a great food experience. The staff was helpful and the entertainment staff were awesome. Great getaway for four nights. "

"Perfect 7-night stay at Playa Grande Resort! The location is 10/10—literally steps away from all the best restaurants and shops at the Marina. We loved the convenience of walking everywhere. The pools were great, the service was friendly, and we couldn't have asked for a better spot for our vacation. We'll definitely be back"

"I booked this hotel for my daughter and her friend for spring break and they had a fabulous time. For the all inclusive it was extremely reasonable for the two of them and so on value alone I have to give it full marks. She said staff were incredible and their room was spacious and clean, more of a suite than a hotel room. Only a couple drawbacks…maybe because it was off season not all the restaurants were open all the time and there was no bar open late. The food was mostly good…don’t order Italian lol. Apparently there is a nicer part of the complex…those rooms include toiletries but theirs did not. And this is more of a ding on Expedia than the hotel but the shuttle does not run 24 hours as the listing states. It picks you up when you arrive but there are set times for departure. Because their flight times didn’t line up they had to book private transport which was $270 RT for the car (up to 5 people). But probably nicer than the shuttle. The hotel website is clear but Expedia listing is not. Overall a great experience for them!"

"The resort felt a bit dated. We were on the first floor and the room let in a lot of noise from vehicles and guests. The food choices at the all-inclusive were subpar. The Italian restaurant and sports bar had decent food, but the seafood, Mexican, and steakhouse restaurants were all incredibly disappointing. The marina location is fun, but you will be pestered by vendors frequently. I will return to San José del Cabo next time as I much prefer that more serene area."
