"Due to new management, we were informed on our check in that the lodge was undergoing upgrading and revamping of their accommodation. Staff was very friendly addressing me by my name which was lovely. Our room was very accommodating, with 2 brand new recliners, large spacious bed, kitchen facilities, lovely hot water for our showering so overall, we enjoyed our stay at a very affordable rate. We will definitely stay there again, and look forward to seeing the finishing touches to the property."

"No wall oven or extractor fan in kitchen which limited cooking options/made it a bit difficult to cook - advertised as full kitchen so was expecting this but also should have looked at photo. Some road noise at night as right next to road. Very warm and cosy."

"Booked a 2 bedroom apartment. Everything was fine at first until the little critters came out. To find we had rubbish bins behind our bedroom. At least 4 bins. Gross. Went to see if we could change rooms in the morning but got put into a studio for 3 people with one bed. Went to see if we could change agaun but all I got was *this will be the third room* and honestly Saba caur who was duty manager but couldn't supply me with any business card or form of proof as I asked for her name was just...

"Have stayed at this location multiple times, with each and every occasion being absolutely wonderful! The staff are so lovely and the rooms are always in impeccable condition with a wide variety of ammenities that I still keep being pleasantly surprised by. I always reccommend Totara Lodge when friends and family mention wanting to find lodging near Wellington and have yet to hear any bad reviews from them either!"

"This is a great place to stay- central location to surrounding areas, shopping and eateries in Petone. We used parking facility and felt this was a great option due to limited parking in area. We felt very safe in this facility. Staff are very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and noted some cracked tiles in bathroom which have been highlighted with management. We will definitely stay there again"
