"The room was clean and the staff was super helpful and nice. The property definitely needs updating, and the elevators were a little janky at times. The 3rd floor ice machine unfortunately was not working during our stay, so we had to go to the 2nd floor to get ice. The area the hotel is in is really nice; it felt safe and it wasn't too busy like the surrounding areas of Myrtle Beach.
It is close to the beach as well, close enough to walk, but it is a little too long to walk to when you're carrying all of your beach equipment (in my opinion). We walked to the beach the first day, then decided it was a much better idea just to drive even though we had to pay for the parking at the beach access.
We never ate breakfast at the hotel, but the property is very close to some good restaraunts like Johnny D's Waffles and Carolina Roadhouse (which is right next door!). And they serve coffee all day which is a great bonus. I did end up paying almost $100 more for the stay than Hotels said I would, and I still have no idea where those added charges came from.
Overall, though, we had a good stay."
