The Keeper of the Plains is a 44-foot tall steel sculpture standing at the point where the Big and Little Arkansas rivers join together in downtown Wichita. This land between the two rivers is sacred ground to the Native American people and is also home to the Mid-America All-Indian Center. The Indian Warrior sculpture was created by Wichitan and Native American artist Blackbear Bosin (1921-1980).
Come in time for the sunsets to enjoy the view along the eastern shore of the Arkansas River.

"It was clean when entering but the location of the room and the lobby area made it to where it was hard to rest. We were dealing with a death and really wanted to relax. There were kids out until past 11 PM and unfortunately kids playing in banging on our door while sleep. Then out playing football and soccer at 7am in the lobby. "This is a clean and quiet hotel. Needed a place to stay while a family member had an extended stay at the hospital. Rates were affordable and it is easy to get back and forth to Wesley Medical Center. Parking is well lit and the area felt relatively safe given we were traveling back and forth early in the morning and late at night."
